Cherise StClaire's Master of the Shadowlands is probably one of my earliest BDSM influences. I had always wanted to write about a BDSM club. This idea, however, I'm not really certain where it came from. I wanted to write a story with a kickass heroine, a strong, independent woman who finds she can be soft and feminine yet still be strong.
