a criminal president
There are few checks to protect democracy from a criminal president. In today's New York Times, Peter Baker gives a shout-out to some arguments from my forthcoming "The Presidents and the People: Five Leaders Who Threatened Democracy and the Citizens Who Fought To Defend It." He also nicely highlights my use of Patrick Henry to make the threat clear.
