苏珊娜·克拉克



出生於英格蘭諾丁罕，小時候遷徙於北英格蘭和蘇格蘭各處。大學就讀牛津大學聖希爾達學院，曾經在Gordon Fraser 、Ｑuarto 等出版各類非文學的出版公司服務．1990年離開倫敦到義大利杜林 (Turin)，教授任職於飛雅特汽車公司、緊張煩躁的高級主管們英文．隔年則在西班牙的畢爾巴鄂教授英文。

1992年，苏珊娜回到英国，蛰居达拉謨一栋眺望北海的屋中，着手进行处女作《强纳森?史传杰和诺瑞尔先生》（英伦魔法师）．她花了十年写成此书，2004年10月由叠濒辞辞尘蝉产耻谤测公司发行。（即发掘哈利波特系列的公司。）
蘇珊娜曾擔任烹飪書籍編輯，撰寫的短篇和中篇小說曾入選美國各類小說選集。〈賽門耶里先生〉（或名〈神仙鰥夫〉）曾入圍2001年世界奇幻文學獎決選名單。最新作品為The Ladies of Grace Adieu and Other Stories（2006）。2005年，以《英倫魔法師》獲頒科幻小說界最高榮譽「雨果獎」。

现住在英国剑桥。
