For me, this means maintaining a strict routine, much as you would with your gym schedule. When it comes to working out, I've always found it's easier to stay in shape than it is to get in shape. In a similar way, it's easier to stay in the flow of writing when you keep writing every single day. Even if you only write a sentence or two, you need to make yourself write every day - weekends, vacations, etc. This is the best way to keep the muse in the room. (less)
