“was only later that week when Emma heard the scientist on the radio talking about the myth of multi-tasking, that she had her answer. Small, insignificant tasks happening at once couldn’t be processed simultaneously.”
Sarah Clutton, Good Little Liars

“Regrets, in Marlee’s opinion, were not something to be shared. They were best accompanied by a good bottle of wine when curled up alone by the fire, to be indulged in only when there was no chance of interruption.”
Sarah Clutton, Good Little Liars

“Imagine if that was it â€ living, breathing evidence that your parents had sex in an exotic place once, and for some reason assumed you’d like to be reminded of it for the rest of your life.”
Sarah Clutton, Good Little Liars

“The moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurredâ€ Unforeseen incidents, meetings, and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.”
