I'm not exactly sure what happened. I didn't set out or plan to write a Contemporary YA, especially not about Summer. (Personally I prefer Winter. Also, in case you haven't noticed, I have a thing for cemeteries and dead guys.)



But a while back, the idea for this book just ZAPPED me and I knew I had to write it immediately. I'm not even sure why. The idea and the characters wouldn't leave me

I have synesthesia. 







Synesthesia: Crossing of the senses. 



1. A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color.
