Pretty in Black—Black Out

PRETTY IN BLACK

PAPERBACKS ARE COMING!

WITH BLACKOUT!

OKAY SO WHAT IS BLACKOUT?

THE INTERIOR PAGES ARE BLACK WITH WHITE FONT! WHICH I THINK IS PERFECT FOR THE PRETTY IN BLACK SERIES!

AND....

BLACK OUT IS ON KINDLE. ON KINDLE IT IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT. THE FONT IS IN COLOR! JUST CHANGE THE [AAA]SETTINGS TO BLACK.

AND I THINK LITTLE THINGS LIKE THIS ARE KEWL! :)

note: on Kindle, it is called Pretty in Black—Black out and is different from the regular Kindle e-book. Black Satin and Raven in the Graveare NOT in Black out.I'm testing it out first with the first book. If it's liked or adored, I will do more of the same with other books on other channels.

...

The prices on the Pretty in Black series have dropped to allow my readers and current fans to get the books with the new covers/changes and also to give those who haven't read it yet a chance to get it this summer.

right now, it's available on Kindle, Nook, and Kobo but I'm working super hard to get it back onto Apple also.

Here are the Direct Links to all of the books

[Kindle]

[Nook]

*readers can buy internationally with the free Kobo reading App on their PC, tablet or phone*

Note: I know that I don't talk a lot about awesome and amazing stuff like other authors do, mainly because I'm super busy updating and changing things all the time and I do everything myself. I've had to do some major back-tracking but once all of my books are in the BEST condition possible, I will be able to relax and write and ٲ.

THANK YOU!

Today is Auguste Rodin's 172nd Birthday + Frankie's Monster teaser #2

Here is the Teaser part. To check out the full post, go to my original blog here:

I haven't felt or heard my heart beat in several years. I don't need to
in order to know I'm alive, but to know if I'm in love? The music box
needs to tick. It's the only way I have of knowing. Of feeling.
Anything.

I
haven't felt either, in so long. But when I look at the
François-Auguste-René Rodin sculptures, particularly The Kiss
and Eternal Idol—t
Lovers—I feel the dials and gears in my heart want to start
counting for me again. I think the music is about to start playing
again. It makes me want to perfect this statue I'm working on. I want
to be like Auguste Rodin. Always in love.

I
am thinking about The Kiss,
the detail, the emotions—it's impeccable. Astonishing even. The
male's toes grip the rock, his back is rigid, he's full of passion
for the female. They're in the flesh and only
in the flesh. His hands are exactly where they ought to be. Her leg
is swung over his, her toes caressing his. A kiss? Only
a kiss?

I
want to be that male.
I want to experience that.

It's
visually stimulating, but I can't help but wonder if I would even be
able to feel what it is that male lover feels with his immortalized
female. He will be there, entwined with her like that for eternity.
Feeling that way forever. His hands will be all over her, his toes
pressed into the rock. He will forever feel the passion. It won't be
a fleeting emotion or experience. It'll be everlasting. But the
tragedy? Their lips won't ever meet. The Lovers' Lips won't ever
touch. They will never kiss. They are frozen together that way,
unable to move forward.

They
both met their demise, their passion interrupted before it had time
to explode into further possibility.

The
Kiss
was originally entitled
Francesca da Rimini. Francesca
committed adultery, becoming Lovers with Paolo, her husband's
brother, after reading the story of Lancelot and
Guinevere
—forbidden love
between the Queen and the Knight.

Just
give into the impulse, the love, the passion, with a disregard for
the consequences.

Eternal
Idol
interests me because their
hands never touch. His hands are behind his back, hers holding her
foot, and he's kissing her breasts and belly.

Hands
that never touch. Lips that never meet. The Almost
Lovers, Never to be.

And the best part is? That wasn'tthe Teaser!

That was just proof that our Johnny Heart is, in fact, a Rodin fan!

To celebrate Rodin's birthday, andthe forthcoming Frankie's Monster

almost talking about something else, other than art pencils. t

Frankie's Monster Teaser #1

Reblogged from:: I have a HUGE surprise for you today! I've convinced Rae to give me the very first Tease of Frankie's Monster! Yay! I can't wait to read th...

Valentine's Day is just around the corner [or hey, at least it seems that way! After all, it wasjust October...Now it's November? Where does all the time go? It's moving Fast! Frankie's Monster releases on February 14, 2013, and you should know why you should spend your Valentine's day with Johnny Heart!

So here is the very first teaser from the forthcoming novel!

Note: This Teaser is Uncorrected so there may be differences in the final copy.

want to kiss you. His eyes pierced into mine. He wore three black sweaters, but even in all those layers of clothes, the ice from him radiated. I clutched at the fabric, pulling him closer to me, my hand around his neck.

He leaned in, his incredibly blue lips just inches from mine now.

I rose to the tips of my toes in anticipation, reaching myself higher to meet his height. He interlaced the fingers of his icy hand with mine. He wrapped his other arm around me, and gently leaned me back, causing my pulse to quicken and my breath to waver. magine being frozen like this, my lips only inches from yours, but never touching. Wouldn't it be tragic?

He had confused me. I didn't understand, so I didn't say anything. He leaned me forward again, dropped my hand. can't kiss you, Frankie. Not this way.

“Why? I asked him. “W󲹳 did I do wrong?

Ԩdz have an admirer, already.

Ԩdz saw ?

“Mhm, he said. Ԩdz didn't enjoy it. Not for a second. His glimmering eyes caught mine. I remembered stalking through the house with Nick, and what a sight that must've been. I didn't want Nick touching me at all. I didn't want him kissing me. The fact that Johnny could tell...

“But I will kiss you. You and I have some sort of future together, I ought to think. I saw a ghost of a smile. “But I'm not a guy of ordinary kisses, you should know. When I kiss you, it will be the kiss, not just a kiss.”

What Releases after Raven in the Grave?

You Can Follow the Raven in the Grave ARC tour here:

There's the soundtrack & book trailer at the top of the blog post, but you can just scroll down for links to the tour. I will update this page throughout the tour, also, posting each link as it becomes available.

If you want to enter the swag giveaway, you can enter here

Raven in the Grave is the third book in the Pretty in Black series. For those of you who have read or are reading the first two books in the series, and for those of you who want to read the books, Raven in the Grave releases December 31, 2012 on Marcus Marble's birthday.

Raven in the Grave was a thrill for me to write, more so than the first two books even, and I'm really excited about its release and putting it in your hands, because this is why I write, after all, to make readers happy.

The reason Raven in the Grave releases on December 31 of this year, and why I decided to do an ARC tour this time, is because Evermore, the last book in the series, [although a few fans have already asked me when it will release] will not release for at least a year from now.

I know...but it's the LAST book in this series, and wow time has gone by so fast, it seems, from when I started this book series. I didn't think it would even get much attention, but the readership it has gotten so far—I am very grateful and amazed by everything. I really wrote the book for myself. It started as a personal project, but grew bigger in my head so I decided to just put it out there.

Evermore is going to take more time to write...lots more time. I can't say for sure when it will release, but don't expect it to release before November 2013.

Another reason that I am holding Evermore, is because there are some really awesome things in the works for the Pretty in Black series, I can't say what, because while these things could very much happen, they haven't happened just yet...and while I await to see the progression on this, the time span between Raven in the Grave and Evermore will give the series the time it deserves to expand its readership.

I just want to take a minute to say Thank You to everyone who has read/reviewed Pretty in Black. Every review, good & bad, is appreciated. Pretty in Black #1 is not perfect, but it was very special to me. Black Satin, Pretty in Black #2 gets better...but I'm the most proud of Raven in the Grave, the third book in this series. I feel like I've grown as a writer, and all of your comments, reviews, support is truly appreciated.

Raven in the Grave ends on a rather satisfying note, so there is no cliffhanger, which is good, because how evil of me to make you wait an entire year on a cliffhanger, right?

[And, also: Raven in the Grave originally was not supposed to release until sometime in 2013, but I bumped the date upward, so that all of you who were invested in Marcus's & Ellie's relationship and story could find out what happened after the end of Black Satin, because I knew a lot of you were surprised by many of the events in #2, and I wanted to satisfy your thirst for the answers. So, you're really getting book #3 faster than I'd originally intended ;). I figured that December 31 is really only one day away from 2013, so this really wouldn't hurt, right? Though...when I said 2013, I really meant like July 2013...but I just couldn't be that cruel. Evermore was going to release in early 2014...& that date may or may not stay the same, depending...]

However...I am working on many other book projects, some of which we could see happen as early as February 2013. :)

One of these, being Frankie's Monster which I am absolutely thrilled about. It's about a xombie and the girl he loves...and that's all I can say about that at this time, but...perhaps there will an official blurb, excerpt, or a teaser or two soon. Who Knows? But this book is definitely coming your way. There's no way I will be able to NOT write this story.
