Christmas Giveaway
Hey Guys,
This year I'm feeling jolly and festive. I have decided I amÌýdefinitely going home forÌýChristmasÌý first time in about 3 years, and that I'm going to give a few more gifts out this year.
Now what better way to give out gifts than to have a Christmas giveaway. ÌýI am going to make up a few copies of Mysery, give a few copies to friends and have some left for people to win :D
So for a start, here is the brand new cover:
I'm going to work on the full book cover and work out the formatting.. Once I have ordered a few copies the giveaway will start. I'm guessing it's going to be from start of December.

NaNoWriMo Day #1 - 2,000 words later
Hey guys,
So if you don't know already, this month is National Novel Writing Month: NaNoWriMo.
This year I'm taking part, and I am writing The Tube. This will be the first time I've written a horror story and I am very excited and thrilled to see theÌýresponse.
The Tube Blurb:
The London underground is a scary place at the best of the times, the enclosed spaces, the dark ominous lighting and the horrific screeches of metal. Well now an underground experiment has got out of control, releasing creatures into London's Tube system, these creatures are hungry for human flesh, they start to terrorise commuters. What is worse, nobody sees these creatures until it's too late. Is there anything worse than a creature you can never truly see? A creature you can't see, in a tight enclosed space.
The Front cover is designed by Joseph Eastwood and I love it loads:
So on Day One I have around 2,000 words, 4 chapters and already plenty of blood flowing across the story. I have had two character deaths and I'm preparing for some more, tomorrow is going to be filled with gruesomeÌýdescriptionsÌýand ideas.
Some time next week I will be posting anÌýexcerpt and will be asking for your ideas, almost like a flash fiction, and your work may be placed in my story with loads of other things thrown in with it, so keep your eyes out for that.

This year I'm taking part, and I am writing The Tube. This will be the first time I've written a horror story and I am very excited and thrilled to see theÌýresponse.
The Tube Blurb:

Need to get on top of this
Hey Guys,
Well as you can see, before September, I had loads of blog posts here and in my film blog and I did plenty of work, even released a book, but since that it's kind of gone down hill.
I have been doing the following at uni:
*Issues withÌýContemporaryÌýTheatre Lectures
*IndependentÌýproject Tutorials
*Theatre for Young People Lecture
*Set Design for Don Juan in Soho
*LGBT for Student Union
*Realism, Naturalism essay
*Workshop pack

*Under Growth (series)
Well now I have decided to get on top of everything. I have a lot of new Ideas to work on, and I'm going to work on them and work on building these blogs back up..
This November I will be taking part in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) November 2012
So what can you expect?

Mysery Update
Hey Guys,
Sorry I've not been as active these days but it's been a bit 'all systems go' over here.
I would like to update you all on my debut bookÌýrelease on Amazon.I'm very excited, and nervous, about it.
Matilda Mysery Downes is a young girl from a small village in 1920s. She is tired of her normal, every day life and wants to explore. In a weird turn of events she is transported into the modern day. Her greyscale skin stands out in this vast ocean of colour. She decides to stay and explore, finding one nice gentleman, Richard. Both Richard and Mysery get along well as he shows her the sights of London. How does Mysery find this adventure and will she overstay her welcome, or becomeÌýaccustomedÌýto the new world?
This story is a mixture of time travel, adventure and romance. The story is told over three days, each as dramatic as the last.

The Countdown: 1 Day
Hey Guys,
So here is the big event, I've done my Kindle edit. Just one final format and look at layout, with a quick glance through and it will all be over. Out in the public in no time.
For all you people who are impatient, like myself, and are just too excited.. or are just craving another cheeky extract, here is a treat for you:
The spectacular views surrounding took my breath away, they were nothing like the views in Greenmoss. Large, grand buildings made from the purest whites and golds, statues of heavenly figures protected the foundations and walls on each side; they kept a godly eye out for any suspicious activity. An archway stood ahead, grand and tall with an angel riding a chariot at the peak.
For the first time since stepping into this land, we were surrounded by three large, open fields of grass and trees. They were separated by roads and buildings, broken apart. It was as if these majestic buildings expanded, and wiped out the lush green-land, but these overlooked spots had been forgotten about, they escaped virtually untouched.
These beautiful patches of grass reminded me of home. I thought about the acres of fields and farms that surrounded Greenmoss, with grass and trees able to grow freely. These were more like gardens, the way they looked maintained and well-kept. The grass controlled and not allowed to grow freely.
Richard helped me across the busy road towards one of the smaller sections of grass. We crossed at what he called a ‘pelican crossingâ€�. I did not understand why a crossing would be named after such a strange bird but I did not question this. Lights changed from red to green and I followed Richard, stuck by his side, taking in the wonder as I strolled.Ìý

The countdown: 2 days
Hey Guys,
Wow, well this has happened very quickly. I have done edits, formatted the story into a Kindle File and a PDF file.. now all I need to do is check how it's set out on kindle..
I can't believe that I have 2 days to edit and publish Mysery, I am extremely excited and so should all of you. I re-read it the other day and even made myself cry and that is not blowing my own trumpet.
I have decided that I will post a short extract here today, and tomorrow, before the release on 19/09/2012
So here's a small extract:
As we sat there searching through the meals the café offered, I detected the people sat at the tables around us, they paid more attention to us than to their own meals and menus. One woman sat in the far corner, whispering furiously to the lady who served them, she pointed towards us. I did not tell Richard about this because, at first, I thought nothing of it.
Soon after these two ladies had spoken, the one who served the food calmly made her way towards our table. Naïvely I thought she’d come to ask us what we cared to eat today. This was not the case. Instead, like the other snarling demons in the café, she appeared less welcoming than first shown when we entered the café.
‘I’m extremely sorry sir,� she said regarding Richard, she then glared at me. ‘Madam;� She sneered, and carried on addressing Richard. ‘We have had a few complaints from other customers, who say they are slightly put off by the fact that your partner is not� She paused to contemplate the kindest way to phrase what she wanted to say. ‘Of colour.� She scowled back at me and gave a fake apologetic smile.
‘Do you mean people complained because she’s greyscale?� Richard asked frowning at this unsympathetic woman. She stared back at him, unfazed by his question. Richard continued forcefully, becoming more angry. ‘I’m sure this could be classed as Racism.� He pointed out. The woman still stood, her facial expressions did not change. She did not care for what Richard said to her.
‘I’m very sorry Sir� she said brazenly, as she leant on the table. ‘My job is to make sure costumers are happy, and unfortunately they’re not.� She paused and scanned the both of us. ‘I’m sorry but I’m going to politely ask you both to leave.� She stood up from her leaning positions, folded her arms and waited, with her eyebrows raised.
There will be another extract tomorrow, then release.

A Week of No Internet..
Hey Guys,
Well it has been a very interesting, factual week this week with training days left, right and centre this week.
I have loved every day of the training, for this years Student UnionÌýpositionÌýof LGBT representative. It has been very educational andÌýbeneficialÌýtowards myself and my ideas for the role.
The only thing is I have not been able to update you guys on anything. So here is my update for the week. Or even the next week.
Let's see how this works :)
First:
Whilst having no internet I have been able to complete my first edit of Mysery. I have a few more tweaks to make and a few surprises in store.. I am going to try to release the book by 19/09/2012
Second:
I have created plenty of new ideas, tales and other delights. I have The Tube, Seven Sins/ SevenÌýVirtues, Under Growth, and many more exciting things to come over the next few months and years.
This weeks main focus has been training, team building and idea starting. I met the staff from the students union and had a lot to talk over.
So this week coming, and for the rest ofÌýSeptemberÌýI believe it will be a mad rush..
I will be back at university doing set design for the play Don Juan in Soho.ÌýI will be looking into my officers role. Also I will be finishing Tournaments: Ernest Island and finally will be trying toÌýorganizeÌýmy birthday, which is with in a month.
So busy times ahead..
and here are some treats for those of you who are as excited as me:
These are the images for the Seven Sins/Seven Virtues series. Each book will focus on an individual sin or virtue and how they react with the world and environment. It will be a major battle of good Vs evil and you can choose which side to pick. 'Are you a saint or a sinner?'
Under Growth is a series of books where dark faery tale creatures roam around and cause terror and mischief to the local town, each book will have a different fantasy creature, such as trolls, sprites, goblins and other foul creatures. Even the creatures you thought to be good and kind are not to be messed with.
So this is what is to come in the next few months, and years.

Wrting Wednesday: The books are coming soon
Hey Guys,
This is where I update you all on how my writing is coming on. I will let you know of any new stories or twists. I will also post a few writing tips from time to time.
This week I have been editing Mysery, but I have also been working on aÌýscheduleÌýfor release of my books. This has only been a rough schedule as I have toÌýcompleteÌýediting, writing and other aspects but I guess as long as there is a plan, then it will happen.
So here is what I have in store for you:
End 2012/Beginning 2013
You should all know that Mysery will be the first book I release:
If you haven't read the summary of Mysery yet, where have you been? I will give you one:
Matilda Mysery Downes is tired of her life in the quiet Village of Greenmoss and wishes for something bigger and more exciting, but she should have been careful what she wished for.
The 1920's girl ends up in present day London, lost and confused on how she got here. She knows that she does not belong and yet stays to explore, meeting a charming gentlemen called Richard on her journeys.
This story is about her travels and how the new coloured world effects this plain, grey-scale girl and what happens when she overstays her welcome.

Tournaments is an event that happens every 5th moon to resemble the war between all the creatures. The war which outbroke and lead to the downfall of the angels.Tournaments remembers The Fallen Angels. Each tribe involved in the war has to compete in Tournaments and fight to the death.
Ernest Island is the home of many creatures and also the home of a human named Kane, When Kane gets chosen to become the human tribe challenger in Tournaments he starts to worry, everybody knows that he is not as storng or talented as the other challengers, how will Kane cope with his training and his new found powers as he heads toward the big fight?

Yet whilst Travelling, they come in between a civil war among the different Creature Tribes. They manage to get involved and it causes them trouble.

Brand New!
Hey Guys,
So here is my brand new writing blog, I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to piece both my writing and film blog together, but I will manage, somehow.
I want to start my writing blog off with something amazing for you guys which I have started working on. I'm guessing you read that I finished writing the first draft of Mysery.
Well I have now started a series called Tournaments. There are six books in the series, each contain plenty of creatures, powers, Gods and other exciting surprises.
Tournaments is an event that happens every 5th moon to resemble the war between all the creatures. The war which outbroke and lead to the downfall of the angels. Tournaments remembers The Fallen Angels. Each tribe involved in the war has to compete in TournamentsÌýand fight to the death.
This is the TournamentsÌýshield, representing the wings of The Fallen Angels. It is a veryÌýceremonial shield which is mentioned a lot through all the books.
The First book is named Ernest Island, where the adventure begins.
Ernest Island is the home of many creatures and also the home of a human named Kane, When Kane gets chosen to become the human tribe challenger in Tournaments he starts to worry, everybody knows that he is not as storng or talented as the other challengers, how will Kane cope with his training and his new found powers as he heads toward the big fight?

So here is my brand new writing blog, I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to piece both my writing and film blog together, but I will manage, somehow.
I want to start my writing blog off with something amazing for you guys which I have started working on. I'm guessing you read that I finished writing the first draft of Mysery.
