Laced in Deceit cover reveal!
Here it is!!!!!
What do you think? I’m super happy about it.
You’ll notice for those who have read the other books that roses play a big part in this cover. It’s also something, if you’ve noticed, that is a recurring theme throughout the covers. I’ve also, finally, got a character on the front! Definitely fitting as Zara is trapped and it’s something she’ll feel a lot throughout the book. If you’ve forgotten what Laced in Malice (the first in the series) is about, check out the .
But…there’s more to this post than the reveal! There’s a contest too!
How to participate
The ONLY thing you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is by posting the link to this page somewhere…anywhere!
There are a few other options you can do to be in with a chance of winning too.
Remember, the voucher will go up by $5 for every 10 people who enters. So try and encourage others to participate too!
Contest ends midnight on the 26th June.
Good luck!
Oh and don’t forget to add to ŷ!

Laced in Deceit cover reveal prep
So Written in Malice has been out for nearly a month now and I’m so happy that people are enjoying!
Now it’s time to prepare for Laced in Deceit, and the first thing for that is…a cover reveal!
But I want to make it fun. I want to bring as many people in as possible. The cover is done and I’m super happy with it. I want to give something back to everyone who has bought and read the series so far. And I want to do that by holding a contest.
For every 10 people who post about the cover reveal, the prize (an Amazon voucher) will increase by $5. Which means that not only am I going to ask you to help me promote the cover (and myself!), I’d like you to encourage others to join.
The cover reveal will be on
Wednesday 29th May!
Check back here on the date for details on how to get involved.
Not long now and hopefully not much longer until the actual release of LID.

As an apology
…I’m posting a snippet of Written in Malice!!
I’ve not been around much. Real life is kicking my ass. But I am writing, as slowly as it is.
So here we go. Enjoy.
Show time.
She stepped into my direct line and my eyes bugged. She wore tiny white shorts, and I mean tiny. A sparkling gold top and some kind of high shoes. For someone as short as she was, I hadn’t expected her to have such beautifully shaped legs. I wanted to run my hands up and down them and then wrap them around my waist.
“Well hello there, Rose.
“I don’t do nicknames, she said.
“You don’t do boys, you don’t do nicknames. I faked exasperation. “Anything you do do?
“Definitely not you.
“We’ll see.
“We will.
“You look good, though, I said, taking a deep gulp of beer. “Very good. I didn’t think the Virgin Mary would be quite so…sexy.
She blushed and looked down at her outfit. “Yeah, well, you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover.
“I’m judging the cover a lot right now, I muttered.
She blushed harder, and when she did, something of me got harder too.
I couldn’t deny it any longer. I wanted her more than I’d wanted something for a very long time. Whatever game she was playing, it was spurring me on, it was turning me on. I stepped closer to her and dipped my head so that our lips were inches apart. I wanted her to feel my longing. I wanted her to mimic it and want me as much as I wanted her.
“I wish you didn’t have any morals right now, I said slowly. “You wearing those tiny, tiny shorts is completely unfair.
She seemed flustered. “Oh yeah?
“Yeah. Trust me, anyone else, and I’d be deep in those woods buried deep inside them. But not you. You, you keep me wondering. Waiting.
“You’ll be waiting a long time, Oliver.
“You’ll be like fine wine. I don’t mind waiting if it’ll make it all that sweeter.
Her eyes began to close and her lips pucker, as though she was waiting for the inevitable to happen. And I wanted so badly to kiss her. To feel those soft lips on mine.
But this was a game. It was a game I had to win and as my eyes flickered away from her pouty mouth, I spotted Lizzie over Zara’s shoulder. Her eyes were hard and her arms folded. A game. This was all a game.
Zara pulled back, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion. Oh yes, I had definitely won this round. With a wink, I brushed past her and disappeared.

Hot off the presses!
I have a couple new things to talk about today (and yes I need to start updating this more).
First of all, friend and writer extraordinare Katie Ashley has made it onto the NY Times Bestseller’s list with her book The Proposition! How amazing is that! I’m so happy for her. Congrats, Katie. And everyone should go check out her naughty but so good book pronto.
Secondly, Laced in Malice is on Amazon for a discounted price right now! In the spirit of Thanksgiving (though I don’t technically celebrate it), I’m selling it for $0.99 for a couple days. Don’t delay buy today!!
On that note, I’ll be back another day with something with more substance (and when I’m not sneaking on at work).

Feedback and reviews and contests
I am absolutely floored by the reactions I have been getting about Laced in Malice. Floored. There’s still a lot of work to be done on LIM. It’s not in as many reader’s hands as I would like, but it’s getting there! Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.
But right now, all I can think about are the reviews on Amazon & ŷ and messages left on my Facebook wall. You have no idea how much it makes my day to sign on and find a new message from someone who loved my book. No idea. It makes it all worthwhile. Please, if you loved the book, tell a friend! Post your thoughts on Amazon! I LOVE seeing what people thought.
That’s how I feel. Like WHOOP!!
There are a couple contests going on right now too.
is hosting a giveaway on her blog. So simple to enter too.
There’s a ŷ giveaway. The easiest thing to enter in the world.
I’m also going to hold a contest, once I read 5o reviews on . One random reviewer will win a $50 Amazon voucher, so it’s even more incentive to type your thoughts on there.
Thanks again, though. Everyone.
Thank you.

Erm, guys, it’s out! It’s really out!!!

Laced in Malice snippet!
A snippet of LIM which is out on the 1st November!!
“You just can’t help yourself, can you? I stood. “By the way, you sound a lot like a jealous little boy right now.
He shrugged. “If that’s what you think.
“Take me back, please.
“Fine. He stood too and dusted off his jeans. He threw one last look at the beautiful lake and then turned to walk back in the direction we’d come from. Before we left the clearing, though, he stretched across to a rose bush and plucked one of the stems.
“For you, he said, handing it to me.
“This doesn’t make up for your rudeness, you know, I said, but my heart was warming anyway. I took it and breathed in the fresh scent.
“I’m not giving it to you to say sorry. I’m giving it to you because it reminds me of you.
“And why is that? I asked, trying not to get excited at his words. There were worse things to be told you resembled.
“Because roses are beautiful and vulnerable, but behind that soft exterior, there are sharp, dangerous thorns. He stepped even closer. “And I, Zara Smart, fully intend to discover those thorns of yours.
