These books tell of a disconnected and distrustful mother-daughter relationship. Meanwhile Raven is raised by her grandmother and befriends and they falls in love with the rich kid in town. His family feels she's not good enough for him and sends him away. There are so many twists, turns and lies in this story. First books I've read by Ms. Dunlap, but she has a fan forever. Just loved them.
