C.E. Kilgore (1981 - ) is an author without genre, who likes to dabble in several genres from romance to science fiction. She also enjoys pushing the boundaries of those genres, trying new things, venturing outside formulas and turning tropes on their heads. Admittedly a control freak, she is currently a self-published author under the name Tracing The Stars, and hasn't quite found the publisher who fits all her quirks. Hello Kathleen,

Although I primarily have M/F relationships in my writing, I am not a mainstream M/F romance writer. All of my books and series feature M/F, M/M, F/F, M/M/F/? (lol) relationships. In other words, I treat LGBT relationships the exact same way I treat straight relationships in my books and series. For example, Book 2 of my Sci-Fi Romance series has a M/M relationship, and books 3 and 4 have subtle inclusion of a F/F/ relationship. Book 3 in my BDSM series has a M/M/F (polyamourous, not menage) relationship, while book 6 will include a M/M relationship.

It's safe to say that a straight-only reader (a reader who doesn't like reading romances that venture outside the m/f relationship zone) probably wouldn't like my series. You are right that recently I have been writing M/M with my Apocalyptic series, but I am also releasing another M/F book in April. I do have plans for exploring more LGBT (primarily M/M) romance books in the near future.

I honestly write where the muse takes me and don't discriminate when it comes to relationship types. I'm hoping to explore LGBTQ even further with transgender, non-binary etc. I think it's important that these relationships be incorporated into the book-worlds we build, and that they be treated as equally and with the same weight we write other relationships.

Thank you for your question!(less)

I do have plans to continue with the series at some point in the future, but I am currently working on other projects. It's my hope to return to Alvarado in 2017. Thanks again for reading! (less)

“Sometimes I look back at what I just typed and truly question if there is a disconnect between my brain and fingers that I should be concerned with.”

“Love is like a wormhole. You stumble on to it blindly, it sucks you in and takes you somewhere completely unexpected. You can’t fight it, because that would tear your ship apart. You can’t control it, either. All you can do is set your thrusters on glide and let it take you where it's going to take you.”
