While it is wonderful to write, be published in the traditional manner of things and be well paid for doing what one loves, it is also so very lovely the idea of all the other authors out there doing a good job and also receiving a pat on the back for doing what they love to do. To any writer/author that has not received their first contract, or even those that have, there is no sadness in this idea of recognizing another person's great work. Not at all. Never feel concerned that there is not enough space for you to be also given all the honors and acclaim. It would be terrible to punish yourself in such a way. Every year thousands, literally, of different books are printed, in all different genres and sub-genres. These thousands of different titles all have thousands of different writers behind them. Keep your mind free of limitation. Enjoy yourself and your work. Go ahead and vote for someone to have their day in the sun and one day you might just find it will be yours. Blessings.
