Samantha Andersen I'm not someone who can handle gore well, but I was fine reading this book. The gore isn't described in too much detail. It's more or less just stated as a severed head or bloodied fist or something along those lines. There is a scene where people are melting from acid, but again, it is mostly stated rather than shown, and I would say that is the worst of it gore-wise.(less)

It felt more low key slow burn in favor of focusing on the storyline, but hopefully it’ll play out in the sequel. Personally, and I mean no offense to the writer of this book, I preferred Hench.(less)
