I just found out that this book is the equal to pride and predujice and I am all read on page 60, the plb is I am not sure wether to stop reading death comes to pemberly and wait till I get the pride and prejudice book then read death comes to pembery or finish reading death comes to pemberly and then read pride and prejudice? because death comes to Wembley is set in 1803 and pride and predejuice is set in 1811 or som

I'm puzzled by a reference near the end to Mrs Robert Martin (nee Harriet Smith) naming a child after her father, John. It's a while since I read "Emma", but my memory is that Harriet is illegitimate. Is PD James trying to hint that her father was Mr Knightley?!

Andra No, Mr Knightley is definitely not Harriet's father, lol. From what I remember, she rediscovers her father at the very end of the book - I believe he â€¦m´Ç°ù±ðNo, Mr Knightley is definitely not Harriet's father, lol.
