Why did they choose to change the title for the U.S.?
Jaden McNally I once heard an interview with someone saying that it was changed because they didn't think American children would want to read it as much if it had …m´Ç°ù±ðI once heard an interview with someone saying that it was changed because they didn't think American children would want to read it as much if it had a long word like "Philosopher" in it. They thought "Sorcerer" would better catch the attention of young, American readers.

I'm not a big fan of wizards, and the plot of this book seems a little...dull? Cheesy? But this book is so well known, and everyone recommends it to me. Even with my lack of interest in everything this book seems to be about, is there a chance I'd still like it?

I'm conflicted about starting the Harry Potter series as my friend said that it was entirely over-rated and she wouldn't recommend me reading it. But I don't know whether I should really believe her (well follow her recommendation), since it's such an appreciated and loved series by people world wide... ?
Sarah Book Dragon Harry Potter is ok. I would not recommend it to anyone though
