Why are the page numbers of each edition different? Is there a difference between the editions?
Yasmin Hurley All of the editions are the same, some have afterwords, extra stories or "before words" and it also depends on the size of the font. This is, so far, my favourite book to date. Issue being I haven't read much for a little while -- and I'm trying to change that. Does anyone have any recommendations of similar stories I might enjoy? By similar I include classics in general or just thriller/mysteries. Thank you all, and enjoy your reading!
Chloe A scientific gothic novel from around the same time period is definitely FRANKENSTEIN by Mary Shelley, and THE WOMAN IN WHITE is a classic mystery nov…m´Ç°ù±ðA scientific gothic novel from around the same time period is definitely FRANKENSTEIN by Mary Shelley, and THE WOMAN IN WHITE is a classic mystery novel, though is a much longer read out of the two novels. Oscar de Muriel has a series of gothic Victorian crime novels with a supernatural twist, but are written recently so take a lot less effort to read. (less)

what is the age group recomended for this book? Is it scary like other murder cases books? I am thirteen and i bought it, but haven't read it yet. Please reply, because I can't just be happy in any way and have depression when i read murder stuff. Should I read this book?
Phillip Meyer I think there is one murder and a suicide. I would give it a PG-13 rating as it is somewhat, but not extremely gory.
