At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.

Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead. But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he's next on the menu.

As if starting high school isn't hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?

THE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ.
The writing is stilted, the story is dull, it doesn't make sense. The main character is a complete waste of space - I didn't like him at all, and was glad when bad things happened to him. There is no explanation for anything, and things happen for no reason at all; nothing is ever explained, or acknowledged. Things just happen, and are put across in this terrible attempt-funny style of writing that's just disjointed and lazy. Not to mention that the protag's condition and continual sympathy-seeking is shocking. OK, we get it, your mum's an exotic dancer, you live in a run-down house, you're some child prodigy scholarship kid, yet you talk like an idiot and don't have a grain of intelligence or sympathy. We don't need to hear, every second line, that you're poor and you've never had this much before - we don't need to hear constantly that you're hard done by, and then see you sabotage EVERYTHING your mother has worked for so you can feel like a tough guy. You are a lame, lame character. You have no admirable traits.
Phew.
Glad I got that off my chest. Do not read this book. It is a waste of time and brain cells. I'm surprised Kenyon even managed to get it published.

This was okay, but I did have some issues with it.

Firstly it was ridiculously long! It seemed to go on forever, and the slow pace just made it really drag.

Secondly, it was pretty unbelievable in places like a strange would pay a 14-year-old boy $1000 a week to run a few errands, and give him a mobile phone and credit card? I don’t buy it.

Thirdly, the whole zombie thing was just thrown in there, and it seemed really unbelievable. Not to mention that the way Nick just accepted that there were zombies was unbelievable.

This was the first Sherrilyn Kennyon book I read, I actually read this before I read the Dark Hunter series and I loved it. I was in Dymocks one day with my Mum and two little sisters and she said I could pick a book. I contemplated and contemplated it was either this or something else. In the end I decided on Infinity. I am glad I did. I flew through it and despite it’s size I managed to read it in one afternoon and I read it again and again.

Plot in a sentence and a half: Nick is 14 and is bullied at school because he is poor and his Mum is kind of a stripper, but that’s not the story. So one day Nick is with his (so called) friends and they decide to mug an old couple, Nick steps in and stops it, they shoot him and were going to kill him if Kyrian (seen in Night Pleasures) hadn’t stepped in and saved him. He ends up being dragged into a world of Zombies, Vampires, tall Goth gods and general craziness.

What I thought of it:

The characters: Too much to say. We get to see so many of the characters in the Dark Hunter worlds, younger versions of most of them. This is the perfect look into the Dark Hunter world and it’s characters. I would have read this book just for the characters (they are dead drop amazing). Here we see some of the best-developed characters (there are tonnes of them) I’ve seen in a while. Even the ones that were only in the book for a page or two leave a mark and are memorable. They all have different personalities. No one is one-dimensional.

The writing: The writing is what got me hooked on Sherrilyn Kenyon. I loved this writing, the sarcasm, boy there was a lot of it, and the fist sentence says that. This has got to be one of the best first sentences I have ever read in a book. It had me laughing right from the first page.

description

The book does not disappoint, there are so many great lines throughout the book and this is what I would consider a perfect YA novel (although some may disagree).

Overall: Read it, it’s a great read. Almost all of my friends have read it, my copy is so used that it looks old, really old. And I only bought it about a year ago. I recommend this book to YA lovers. And despite the blurb this book is not a major book about Zombies. SO, don’t let your reservations on Zombies hold you back. I also recommend this book to Action/Zombie/Vampire lovers. This book is a great paranormal read. Can I say that enough?

I skimmed quite a bit through this one...and still feel I wasted a LOT of time. Yes...these are hours of my life I'll never get back.

The book dragged on trying to get started as we went to school with Nick and watched him persecuted more thoroughly than Bilbo at an Orc convention. We suffered through him having to live on powdered eggs...with maybe a little bacon, sometimes not even out of date (Nick's mom is poor but noble....not real understanding at times, but noble. Oh and also very important, don't forget that, very important...take care of your mom). We struggled with Nick being misunderstood, abused, and just wronged. Then we finally got into the story.

There were a few good humorous quips, references to pop-culture, movies, electronic games etc. and so on. But other than that I just got tired and burned out on zombies, time slips, demons and a story I just couldn't get into. (There are also warped mythological characters, shape shifters, "werebeasts"(werecritters?), "Daemons", and assorted other monsters including sort of putrid flying monkeys.) The book begins to tell a mildly interesting story about the last 2 chapters, but every time I got "mildly interested" the thing wandered off and managed to hit the annoyance button (specifics would contain spoilers...). Other than a few "story related" items like distorted folklore references, there were SOOOO MANY places where there were lines like "before he could answer another wave of zombies interrupted", or "I'll have to tell you that (important plot point) later, we're here". You get the picture?

I didn't "hate" this book, it escapes a 1 star rating (barely...:) but it just didn't (for me) ever jell, it failed to hold together, it just didn't work. Sorry.

I know however some will like it, taste is like that otherwise boiled okra, stinky cheese, Ator (The Fighting Eagle) movies, and Gilligan's Island would never have staid around as they have, so if you like it enjoy. As I said, it has it's moments. I even laughed at a few of the "quips", but the story didn't quite make it for me.

By the way, did I say how annoying the book was at times????

There is absolutely nothing in this book to recommend it. The writing is crap. The author doesn't know how to identify with teens and constantly talks down to her readers. There is nothing even resembling logic. The plot is all over the place. The characters are flat and dull, when they aren't being needlessly dramatic. Just...in every single aspect possible, this book fails.

This is totally a young adult book. If your looking for something like the dark hunters series, its not here, so you don’t get the romance and hardcore action. I would recommend this book to people who read YA books, but if YA is not your cup of tea like me, well you may want to read more than a couple of reviews before buying. There is action, and humor and teens that turns into zombies, yep, picture it, some of the football team as zombies coming after to kill Nick.

Nick starts out as a loser. With his mom being a striper he ends up getting bullied all the time. One time some teen starts teasing Nick, he gets kicked out of school because of fighting that teen. That night he ends up in with some kids that tries to rob an old couple, he starts thinking this is not a good idea and ends up with the Teens beating the crap out of him, until Kyrian steps in. From there you’ll find there is someone after him and sending Zombies to kill him.

You’ll see a few D-H in here, even Artemis makes an appearance. There is a few new characters you’ll meet one is Bubba. I really liked Bubba, he has two rules 1. "Shoot first then ask questions". 2. "Double tap just for good Measure". "Better safe than sorry". Bubba adds a lot of humor. He is the reason I had added a star to this rating.

You’ll find a few things about Nick from the D-H’s told in more detail and some loose ends taken care of. But as a D-H reader I found Nick’s life not the same as portrayed as in the D-H books. Other than that I found the book dragged and was too boring. I want to stress if I was a YA reader that had never read the D-H series, my rating would be a lot higher.

This is the first book I've ever decided to stop reading because I disliked it so much. It was taking me forever to get through it, and I just got to a point where I didn't feel like wasting my time with it anymore. There are so many other books I'd rather read than this.

“Couldn’t finish the book Review I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes, How contrived a narrative can you force onto people to try to make them sympathise and like a character? I found Nick so badly written and all the people who he talks too so stereotyped into a box I couldn’t even get into the real plot.

Nick;
He’s poor,
Smart but nerdy,
Doesn’t have any friends,
He’s really really poor,
He’s from a broken dysfunctional home, so he doesn’t have a dad or any connection to his grandparents,
He’s bullied, because he’s dirt poor,
His mom and his surrogate family all work at a strip/Pole dancing club.
He has terrible clothes,
He’s shot helping old people,
He’s Super poor.
His teachers hate him because he’s riff raff from a poor dirt poor home with a bad mother!

Oh and he’s poor!

The author really needs to learn the basic story telling method of Showing us rather than telling us, getting told 50 times that Nick is poor and how everyone hates him for it is soooo childish and lame its reality breaking, his teachers would sympathise with him (They love honor students, they want to teach not lambast the poor!) No one is this clownishly evil, rich people might look down on the poor, but they wouldn’t be so stereotypical about it. I was waiting for the rich kids to pay there butlers to beat him up, or to stone him with gold bars.

I got up to Bubba (Double degree holding Psychopath?) and the goth vampire killer (super hot, like every other girl hes ran into so far?) before I had to quit, I realise I might be slightly too old for this book, but I couldn’t imagine a young adult reading this and sympathising with Nick.

I really am supprised that this got past an editor, It shows soo little finesse it was little better then some fan fiction. The only way to make this worse was if Nick was forced to live under some stairs (:P)

Disappointing addition to young adult paranormal genre

Having never read any of the Dark-Hunter books, I came into Kenyon's INFINITY: CHRONICLES OF NICK without expectations. Unfortunately, Kenyon's foray into the young adult genre left me extremely disappointed. As the book opens, we meet Nick, a scrappy but sullen fourteen-year-old boy who lives with his mother in the slums of New Orleans. After being shot during an attempted mugging one night, Nick is saved by a mysterious man who takes him under his wing. As Nick's time with his new mentor continues, he slowly learns about an otherworld he didn't know existed and his potential role in it. Soon, zombies start terrorizing the city, and Nick finds himself at the center of a ragtag group who must try to stop them.

First and foremost, this book should be marketed for middle-grade readers, not young adults. The writing was elementary and simplistic, which is not how a young adult novel should read, even if the characters are young. The writing felt lazy with weak descriptions and an overreliance on supposed "teen speak" like Nick saying "Gah!" all the time. Little to no character development occurred among the main characters, and all of the secondary characters were flat. The plot itself felt silly and contrived, since it was clear there was never any real threat. As a non-Dark-Hunter reader, the mythology was confusing and remained unclear at the end of the book. This muddled mythology contributed to the poor world building, which was so minimal that I was never able to suspend belief and immerse myself in the created world. Completely illogical things happened, even for an urban fantasy, like immortals disclosing secret information to Nick within minutes of meeting him or kissing scenes while zombies were literally trying to eat the characters.

Among the few positives, INFINITY may appeal to young male audiences with its focus on action, instead of romance. Younger readers may enjoy the dialogue and find it humorous, and the story did end with a finished conclusion (no cliffhanger), which I always appreciate. For existing fans of Kenyon's adult Dark-Hunter series, this novel may also provide backstory for characters they've followed in her other books.

Overall, Kenyon's attempt to jump into the young adult market with INFINITY disappointed me with its inability to create a world I would want to visit again. As an adult reader, it also failed to entice me to pick up her adult series. If you're a fan of adult urban fantasy and would like to see a good addition to the young adult world by one of your favorite authors, I highly recommend Kelley Armstrong's Darkest Powers series (THE SUMMONING, Book 1) instead.

Infinity is the first book of Sherrilyn Kenyon that I've read and probably will be the last because heck, there's a lot of books in this series (and it's still on-going) and a lot more books in the same universe. I'm #shookt. I would probably read another book of her if it's not included in this so-called Dark Hunter universe. Or whatsoever.

Anyway, I still enjoyed reading this book. There is no denying that fact. Infinity has a decent story line, a set of interesting characters and every page full of heavy sarcasm. I love it!

Basically, it is about clueless Nick and how he discovers his demonic abilities. From being clueless to being a hero, a lot of things has happened in-between. And from zombies, vampires, shapeshifters, different demons and demon-hunters to Greek goddess, Infinity has it all.

It's all good but it also becomes confusing especially to a reader who hasn't read any books from the Dark Hunter universe. Sure, readers of this series will not find it confusing but I am not them. I can say it does lack of world building for a first-timer like me in this universe.

Infinity still compels and intrigues me, to be honest. I want to know more about Nick and his colleagues. But, seeing the books in this series is somehow discouraging. Maybe when I run out of books to be read (which is not gonna happen), I will pursue reading the series. But for now, I don't think so.

Never read Kenyon before because her books just never sounded interesting to me. For some reason this new journey of hers into the YA fantasy field caught my attention. Should have stuck with my impression of her adult books as this was mostly a waste of time. The best character was Nick's mom, the single mom stripper with a heart of gold. The whole book was full of this type of cliche' and I've discovered that zombies, whether live or dead zombies, bore the shit out of me! Wouldn't recommend this one to anyone, except maybe a diehard Kenyon fan who doesn't want to miss a single detail. Sure hope I come up with a GOOD read here pretty quick as it seems I've read a bunch of stinkers in a row!

I enjoyed this first installment of CON. Sherrilyn Kenyon has convinced me with her talent. She was able to keep me wrapped up in the world she created for Nick. Be it adult romance or young adult fantasy, she's built a solid foundation with intriguing creatures.

Nick is a 14 years old and dirt poor. His Mom is a stripper and they eat substituted food like powdered eggs. I am not sure if Nick feels bad about his home situation because his his attitude is so acidic at times. I'll sting you, before you burn me.

When the inevitable paranormal antics ensue, Nick's seems almost blase'. To be fair Sherrilyn Kenyon writes the scenes with an air of humor. Revealing the enemy as something of interest instead of crap your pants horror. Nick's reaction is very 21st century teen. His crush on Nekoda will be something to look out for.

The plot of Infinity varies from Nick being introduced to Kyrian, to him fighting supernatural creatures and having NO idea there are others right beside him fighting along with him. Ash makes an appearance for all you DH fans =D

In all it is worth investing in this series if your a fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon/Dark Hunters. It is fun seeing the Dark Hunters from Nick's POV, because its all new to him. Also non-Dark Hunter fans you don't have to read the Dark Hunters series to enjoy CON but I highly recommend you get intimate with Kyrian and Ash at the very least, and any other main characters introduced in the CON series. WARNING: The Dark Hunters series in meant for adults and has adult content.

***PLOT/SPOILER ALERT****
Nick himself is a powerful being that even Ash is concerned about. The reason there will be 10 books in this series, I'm guessing, is because Nick has 10 lessons to learn to hone his skills. 'Uncle Ambrose' warns him about holding a grudge. Remember what happens between Ash and Nick? I was getting chills when Ambrose was trying hard to break that hold over Nick's heart to want revenge for what happened to Nick at 14.

It started off as a relatively inocuous fun YA read. The characters are clever and silly and it was entertaining.. at first.
Then it jumps the shark as the author begins introducing so many different creatures people and empty hinted at story lines that never come to fruition. She makes a HUGE sloppy mess of it. A fun read devolves into a convoluted non-nonsensical almost indecipherable mess.

Its like the horror section at the video store threw up and the author expects me to clean it. ADHD much? Zombies- the dead kind, which come about spontaneously (I think) and the living kind (which were created accidentally on purpose by kid who made a video game he could play to inflict mind control on others that goes haywire) another kid with unspecified supernatural connections, his uncle, who's really him in a previous incarnation, except they're both still alive, his evil father who has another supernatural genus/species I dont recall, vampires, warewolves, daemons, demons (I read the book and Im still not sure what the difference is), gods, simis (also got me) and a half a dozen unfleshed out (no pun intended) other types of supernatural beings.. I kept thinking "what? who?" Its a complicated-for-no-reason hot mess. I want to grab her and shake her till she makes a decision!

Maybe she straightens it all out by the third book, but this is the written version of a hoarders episode and I cant imagine a big enough pay off to make me wade through this much junk to put the author's house in order.

NOPE, NOPE, NOPE. NEVER AGAIN. This was..... so bad... I just.... I can't

I've only ever given a book 1 star ONCE before now. That alone should tell you how much I disliked this book!!

1/5 stars
(just a warning, there may be slight spoilers in this. This review mainly a rant though so there shouldn't be many spoilers, if any)

Hmmmm how exactly do I say this?
Oh, I know! This book was a mess

SERIOUSLY. The writing style was, frankly, terrible. This is probably the worst writing I've ever experienced in a book tbh. It was so childish and just so entirely unbelievable.

The "storyline"
Quotation marks bc what even was this??
FIRST we get a protagonist hated by E V E R Y O N E, even his principal (which, tbh, I found wayyyyyy too unrealistic for my liking). THEN we get a whole host of characters that are just not developed enough and very unrealistic.

SOMEHOW a character allllllwayyyyys says something philosophical and deep and basically plot-hinty at every possible chance and we're expected to take it seriously. And I typically LOVE philosophical thoughts, but in this context, everything said was just so impossible. Seriously, nobody SAYS the things characters say in this book.

THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, OUT OF THE FRICKIN BLUE, CANNIBALISM??? LIKE???? WTF??? Seriously, that was expected to fit into the storyline with very few qualms from anyone. And there was basically no forewarning whatsoever O-o

THOUGHTS
I? was? not? a? fan? of? this?

I will admit, sometimes the snark was entertaining, and the idea behind the book had the potential to be interesting, but this novel was just gone about all wrong. There was TOO MUCH snark, believe it or not. It actually got tiresome!

THE PORTRAYAL OF FEMALE CHARACTERS WAS A SOLID NOPE FOR ME. SERIOUSLY, every character was either "smokin' hot" (ew I hate that phrase) or really quirky, flat-out strange, and somewhat unintelligent. Also, Nick CONTINUOUSLY acted as though every girl needed his protection and it pissed me the fuck off. Ooooooo boy I disliked this. I also felt no inclination towards Nick's mother, who never listened to him and yelled at him for the majority of the time she saw him, never really recognizing wtf was going on in his life.

Ughhhhh

It's been a long time since a book pissed me off so much. I just can't deal with it. I acknowledge that this book was a positive experience for other people, and maybe they saw things that I didn't. Regardless, I stand firm with my 1 star rating and with everything I've said thus far.

I just, I can't. I really can't. Too many aspects of this book (unrealistic characters, weak writing, low-key sexist portrayal of female characters, unrealistic dialogue, etc, etc) felt lacking to me, and all I can say is I'm majorly disappointed. I was looking forward to an action-packed narrative to lose myself in, but this was not it.

3* dnf: 50% (read online) HOMEBOY NEEDS JESUS AND THIS IS COMING FROM AN ATHEIST SO WHAT IN THE GOD DAMN

This has to be one of the STUPIDEST books I've ever read, BUT it's also pretty entertaining. Unfortunately I hate books where the mortal world mixes with the other world/powers. So all the demon characters were interesting, but the parts of the book with Nick's interactions with mortals were torture to read. A lot of this book felt like set up for future books instead of a cohesive plot line for this one book. The unanswered mysterious questions of the book were interesting, but there were way too many unanswered questions to the point where this singular book had no purpose besides intrigue for future books. I tried to roll with the stupidity and see it in a fun light, but it was just too much for me.

The main reason I can't stand this book is the main character Nick. People in the book say he charming, but he's probably one of my least favorite main characters of all time. He always says things like "don't help me" and "I'm a man". He really REALLY wants to be macho and have a super hot girlfriend. He's pretty gross and unrealistic for a 14 year old. Also I couldn't stand his mom either. She was super annoying. The way Nick thinks about women is over exaggerated, horny, and not something I'd like to read about.

I am completely addicted to this series! I finished this one last night but instead of taking the time to write a review right away, I started book two. I am almost done book two but will be moving on to book three tonight right away before writing that review. This series is amusing from characters to funny dialogue with entertaining action. I was thoroughly taken right away with this world! I love it!

My quick and simple overall: this series is addictive and the interactions between the characters will make you smirk and laugh out loud.

This book is terrible! I might have been more interested if the writing wouldn't have been as bad. This book is written in the 3rd person, but it seemed as if she was confused as to who the main character was. All of the characters are written together and "thinking" and "saying" things at the same time and you have no idea who is thinking or saying what. After getting past that, the possible main character, Nick, is not even close to relatable. It's as if she was trying to make him a comedian but all of the jokes fall flat. I'm not exaggerating; literally EVERY joke, quip, or attempt at whittery fails miserably. This might be the most annoying main character ever! Then, if you're able to get past all of that, there's the plot/plots? At first you think this story is about Nick discovering who he is, but then it becomes a story fully centered on the possible zombie apocalypse, but then, it's about 30 other things. Nothing feels connected! Needless to say, Chronicles of Nick will be stopping and ending with book 1 for me. Good luck to anyone who wants to read this series.

Reading this book is like looking into a shoebox filled with colorless shrinky dinks. ()
There are many characters, and all of them are one-dimensional. Despite being set in New Orleans, Kenyon grossly misuses her setting, never once describing it. In her book, the city is dull, featureless, and empty.
In "Infinity," Nick Gautier is your stereotypical chosen one. He has powers, maybe? And powerful beings watch over him, or something? And zombie type creatures attack? And they defeat them.
Nothing in this book is original. Ancient powers threaten the world. One boy is the chosen one to defeat them all. The humor relies on tired old Chuck Norris jokes.
The funniest thing about this book is that Sherrilyn Kenyon is suing Cassandra Clare for plagiarism. Does Kenyon understand that everything in her book is an archetype, trope, or stereotype? Even accusing Cassandra Clare of plagiarism is so 2001.
I've read a lot of brain-dead young-adult books, but this might be one of the absolute dumbest. The writing is terrible, there isn't enough plot to sustain its length, and what little plot there is feels slapdash and inconsistent. There is no main villain. There is no clear plot arc.
Last year, I thought the Violets of Smarch was the dumbest book I'd ever read. This one undercuts that one by miles, so I'm glad I gave Smarch two stars. The floor gets even lower.
Infinity can barely be considered a book. It is much less than the sum of its parts. The only thing holding it together is a physical cover. I expect its spine to disintegrate, its pages to blow away, and the words on them to peel off like loose threads, dissolving into little puffs of ink in the air.

Oh that was entertaining!!! This is also the first book I ready from Mrs Kenyon, yeah I know - shame on me. But I think I'm glad I started with her YA series before digging into the mature stuff. ;)

The cover always crabbed me but somehow I never picked it up, I guess I was afraid when I read Nick is supposed to be 14 and this sounds more MG than YA to me - but..duhh! I'm glad I did now, I truly enjoyed myself and I will most definitely go and buy the next one right away.

This is the very rich story about Nick and his struggle against evil and his true self, although he has no clue yet what that means. He's a poor kid that lives with his mum, his dad is an evil psychopath that is in jail. He has a scholarship to go to a school full of rick kids. And yeah, they are not very nice to him.

Nik's voice is awesome and super funny. His sarcasm and snarkiness totally got me and I found myself smiling at this smart ass :) He definitely doesn't take crap from anyone and is too smart for his own good. But. the way he deeply cares about his mom is wonderful!

Nik finds himself suddenly in a world full of paranormal creatures and it is happening all way too fast for him to grab. Also, apparently he is something special too although he doesn't want to believe it. Many creatures want to get a hold of him and according to a some sources if he turns evil he will doom the world. So, the good people want to do anything to prevent this. Still, Nik has no clue about all of this!

This is one of those stories that move forward merciless and are thick with new developments fast. I love such rich stories, they keep you on edge all the time. Also, she created a world full of Demons, Shifters, Vampires and ancient gods. I love when an author is able to create a world that big.

But what I loved most is Nik! I loved his sense of humor, his braveness and his sarcasm! Now, excuse me, I go and read the next one!!

I really wanted to love this, I did. I am a huge zombie fan - so I thought I'd love this one

but the mix of...different genres and zombies just didn't work for me. The layers of Mythology mixed with all the other surprises just muddied the storyline and made it drag for me.

And I did not like Nick. He was sarcastic and rude. I never found him funny, I never though his little quips were cute. Even his devotion for his mom and his wanting to watch over and protect others just could not endear him to me.

I don't think I'll be continuing this series.

Sherrilyn Kenyon definitely has a formula she works with. This book felt very familiar despite being YA. But I'm not necessarily ccomplaining. 😅 I still enjoyed it.

There was much to like about this book's premise and some of the characters, but I was left uncomfortable in reading it by the many inconsistencies of both language and characters. For example... The main characters mother is a stripper who dropped out of school to have a baby, yet she always speaks very properly. The main character himself speaks properly (almost adult-like in his syntax in thought and word) for the first 80 pages and then seems to remember he's one step up from a street kid and starts throwing "ain't" into every other sentence for the next big chunk of the story. He claims he's never had a t.v. or gaming console (too poor), but makes myriad pop references to both (which bothered my son more than it did me, I must admit) You're not ever quite sure who is a good guy and who is a bad guy, which isn't always a bad thing and can in fact make for excellent reading... but in this case it really bothered me because you want to care about this kid and want him to make good choices, but those choices are so completely and utterly murky you're left not knowing what to hope for. I did read the book all the way to the end, but was left wishing I'd spent the time reading something better.

Kitap çok eğlenceli ve ilginç başlamıştı, bi sürede sonra tam anlamıyla içine etti. Nick'i sevdim ama bazen maldı. Karakterlerin çoğu silik ve salaktı.
Birden vampirler, hopp iblisler, aa durun şekil değiştirenleri de koyalım... yetmediii Karanlık Avcılar'ı koyalım, ay dur sistemi çözmek üzereler Yunan tanrılarını da ekleyelim, amannnn Avcımsılar da olsun... hiç birini de açıklamayalım.

Not: belki kadının diğer serisini okumuş olsaydım daha farklı bir görüşüm olurdu

The characters in this were alright, and they came out with a few funny lines that made me laugh. There was a few times where they annoyed me though.

The stroyline in this was okay, but I started to feel a bit bored around halfway because of how long the book felt. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if I had been reading something else alongside it though.

Overall, An okay read.
