Lots of reviewers don't take note that this was unfinished, so the general theme should be considered. K. is trapped in large bureaucracies, and as he gains information, he actually learns less.

Great work, unfortunately Kafka didn't around to finishing it, but it shouldn't detract from its concept. It's short, but it's packed with so much possible meaning it's nauseating. It's simultaneously darkly funny and a really challenging mindscrew. It's about the absurdity and minutia of modern life that we are all probably subjected to but don't really notice. Don't let the ending get you down.

One of the best novels of the 20th Century; about the absurdity of a bureucratic society, very orwellian & surreal.
