ŷ asked Brian Cook:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Brian Cook I've heard a lot of advice from some people whose opinion I regard highly, and been told read more, go traditional rather than independent. But over the time that I've invested in writing, I'd tell aspiring writers to do you. If it feels right to you, do it so they come off as credible and not contrived to read like a Ernest Hemingway or a Stephen King. Develop a style they like and when they are done, they like the finished result. Also, edit, edit, and then edit some more.
