How much mature content are in this series? My child picked these books out from the used store because it had a "Barbie" on the front... I know she is way too young yet (grade 2) but when should I allow her to read them?

J. She should not read this, if she is only in 2nd grade. This is a YA book (young adult) and deals with mature things. She should read it when she's in 9th+ grade(14 y/o+)
