Robin, I found AJax Penumbra 1969 super hard to understand @ the end. It felt like it didn't end...was that on purpose as a work in progress for the bigger book? Curious if Penumbra could be returning again...

That's an interesting question! It was intended to be a self-contained story -- but of course if it didn't come across that way, it's possible I left something out, or didn't think about all the ways it could be read. I have no plans for any further adventures of Penumbra as of this writing… but who knows what the future holds? When I wrote *the short story version* of Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore, I never imagined it would become a novel!
