Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ asked Steffan Piper:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Steffan Piper I keep lots of journals and diaries and have since the late 80's. I have roughly two Works-In-Progress (WIPs) at any one time, even if I've sworn off writing completely out of frustration. Which does happens. I have approximately ten completed outlines that are solid from start to finish. Most of the time I can see every page of every book long before I get to sit down and write them. It's more of a curse than a blessing, but I think that just comes from the reality of life experience and having decided to write mostly Memoir / Literary Fiction.

Everything I've ever written comes directly from my life, what I've seen and what I've been through and survived. I'm not the kind of person to make things up. The editing is about taking things away that either make the book too long or have story-lines that might be best told in another novel entirely.

Life changes on all of us drastically as we go through it. The fact that every decade feels vastly different than the last is merely a testament to good living and doing what you're supposed to in order to remain happy.
