I usually have multiple projects in the que at any given moment. So, if I get stuck with one project, I'll work on another. If that doesn't work, I watch a favorite movie. Sometimes, a walk around the block will reveal the perfect dialogue. Other times, it's in my sleep (always get up and write it down!!). But the best way to find new ideas for manuscripts is to read the news. The truth is stranger than fiction. I've found lots of ideas reading the news online - now, if I only had enough time to write all those stories....
