I had a choice of 4-6 books over the summer holiday, for English coursework, and I chose kitchen because the premise intrigued me. I liked it because of the hopeful way it handled grief.

I heard about this on youtube, can’t remember with booktuber it was, I have heard quite a few of them talking about it. I have heard people giving it a good review and goodreads rating. I don’t know why I didn’t like it specifically, I never connected with the characters or felt the relationships were fully explained. The concept of the kitchen linking this together felt poorly executed.
