Why would they make a movie of this? Anyone famous gets his books made into movies or films but if the characters are weak and not realistic. I liked the book but not translating into a, wouldn't you say?movie and a T.V. series is just ballistic.

They make movies & TV series out of junk but then they always have; these people in "power" have no common sense whatsoever, if they did they would be actually doing "something" & producing something besides the garbage they deliver onto screens from books written by "famous" people like Sarah Palin, who head is filled with air, hot air.

I though the '93 movie was great and the book was even better. Very happy they made this one into a movie, but that is not always the case.
They also changed a lot in the movie. If they had followed the book directly it would have been like a 5 hour movie.
