You do know that he couldn't of controlled the ending, right? This WAS his life, if he could've none of this would've happened

I think he meant that how the writer ended the book was a little abrupt, not the actual ending. I thought the book was excellent to read, but I understand not liking the ended. It left unanswered questions about what happened to Elie after the camp was liberated.
