Why do struggle to finish this novel? This is the third time I have stalled out more than half way through. I just can't seem to care about this family...tell me: should I tough it out?

On the other side, I read it years ago - in Polish! - on another friend's recommendation, and it was a total blast and a revelation; it took me two nights (I could hardly put it down, but I needed some sleep), and was like no other book I had ever read. So, maybe you could give it another chance in some years. Happy reading if you do!(less)
