Why do struggle to finish this novel? This is the third time I have stalled out more than half way through. I just can't seem to care about this family...tell me: should I tough it out?

I appreciate that this is not just a family story but the human race`s as well told in a "Biblical" way spiced with philosophical, mythical ideas and politics, but and there is a but. It just did not float my boat. Sorry. (less)
