why are people saying Outlander is a rape book?

MTC There are scenes of rape, attempted rape...etc. Its not a "rape book," and it shows a REALITY in this world that cannot and shouldnt be ignored. Criticizing this book because it has those scenes is ridiculous. How the author dealt with that subject was very interesting and in no way did she write, at any point, that the subject was somehow acceptable(less)
