They keep claiming geisha aren't prostitutes. But one way of living for a geisha was having a danna. What kind of relationship they had with their danna ? A Danna paying the geisha’s expenses, in exchange of sex, and not only for company and showing off they're rich, for me it's prostitution. Did a danna expect having regular sex with the geisha ? Was it imply ? And then, d'you think it made her a prostitute anyway ?
