Do you ever consider writing a nonfiction account of what you learn during your research process?

Sometimes I write an essay that goes at the back of the book or on my web site. But generally speaking, I'm moe interested in sharing history through the lens of fiction. I think it's more appealing that way. At least it is to me.

Have the works of Pearl S. Buck made any impression on you, positive or negative? I've wondered if your books may contain allusions to hers, or if there are common themes in these novels simply because of your similar cultural experiences. If you feel comfortable sharing any opinions I would be quite interested. Thanks!
