The seahorses have sex.

Its hard to imagine a book so praised, enjoyable, and liked about young and mature people having various interactions without profanity and descriptive sexual content, but this book achieves it.

While I can’t say enough good things about this book, I’m surprised by the comments. There is a good amount of language in this book. The s word is said quite often and it said G damn once. No sexual content though. With all of this said, if you don’t read the book because of these things, you’ll miss out on a FANTASTIC read.

A few "sh**"s here and there, but only enough to emphasize how clean this book is.
Deb
No it does not.

Yes it has light profanity ie Sh*t and Damns. And Yes the story has points that talk about sex and one possible encounter but it’s super PG book. It. could actually be considered a Young Adult novel if it’s not already.

There is no taking the Lord's name in vain, but there is a lot of cussing. No explicit sexual content.

What is it with the obsession with sexual content and profanity Madison? Would you prefer censored books? You might as well censor *life*.

I mean, the octopus does want to get laid.

This question has been answered in a few ways but I wanted to chime in from a different angle. Because I run a book club for women who prefer to stay away from lusty plot lines, I am always looking for great literature that is pretty clean in that regard. This book was a good fit for our club. There is one instance of intimacy but it is only alluded to--completely closed-door. I think one of the characters makes a comment or two about finding a woman attractive. But I personally would call it mild.
There is a good amount of profanity but it's not gross or distracting to the plot line.

I felt comfortable enough having my 10 and 12 year old listen on a road trip (they loved it by the way). The are a few light curse words, but no graphic sex. Cameron does talk about noticing Avery in a physical way, and they share a romantic moment in the water, but nothing is graphic.
