Is it difficult to write new stories that don't cross ideas with previous books written? You are one of my favorite authors and I've found that each of your books I've read have unique storylines that always keep me riveted.

Hi Patricia � Great question. It's not difficult at all for me to come up with fresh new ideas for each book, because I've got dozens of ideas in the old file cabinet (literally � I still have a file cabinet!). So many, in fact, that I'll never have time to write them all. Also, I've found that I'm a better writer when I'm fully engaged, and I'm fully engaged when I'm doing something that's new to me.

As you do such incredible in-depth research into technology and corporate law and government insider info....have you kept a log of how much time spent on research overall? Having read all your books so far, I would guess it to be thousands of hours, including travel time.
