Alex asked:

I am excited by Borges' writing and concepts. Aside from Umberto Eco, is there anyone elseI should explore that could be in the same family? Thanks.

Christopher Barclay A short, 8 page story called "Axolotl" by Julio Cortázar it has many connections w/ Borges's Labyrinths collection and "The Aleph"
Keith Mitchell Read Marquez and Italo Calvino and the best Kafka. If you saw Birdman you saw Ed Norton reading a copy of Borges's Labyrinths while tanning.
Emma Murakami and Zafron? It depends a bit on which aspects of Borges you liked best.
Linda Kanagawa I read the Plague after i finished the book.
J_BlueFlower Stefan Zweig or maybe Alan Lightman (Einstein's Dreams )
Saira I've never read either, but if this is magical realism you should check out Bruno Schulz's "Street of Crocodiles and Other Stories"
