terrifying, gritty, dark, compelling to a point. the book has scenes which are so grotesque, they were impossible to read through. even the ending was not satisfying. I would not recommend to a person who reads for fun.

the whole idea is great so in my opinion it worth reading but remember that every thing that is mentioned in the book has something behind itself and has a symbolic social/political meaning

Honestly... Find a friend who read it, and liked it. Take them out to coffee. You'll enjoy the conversation more than reading it. And still enjoy the best parts: the premise, the symbolism, the mulling over what they story means.
