The aspergillus fungus is not itself carcinogenic but I secretes a very powerful carcinogen known a aflatoxin (A&B) it is found in many grains crops and root crops such as peanuts and corn . Aflatoxin Is NOT destroyed by cooking so whether you eat these raw ore cookied is immaterial . Nuts on the other hand are grown in trees and it very rare fro them to be infected with aspergillus fungus.
