Colin Colaco Chris was definitely the father of Em's unborn child. The problem she had having sex with Chris was, the recurring feeling that Chris was like a brother to her. Hence the undercurrent of incest in their sexual relationship.
Clare I thought Emily had issues being intimate mostly due to being abused by the creepy guy in Maccas as a 9 year old and then secondly because he felt like a brother to her.
Mary Berger Flapper72: I'm on this site for the exact same question! I really thought it was going to be Chris' dad. Oh well.

Karen I had the same question. I thought she was raped and the pregnancy was the result. I am still not sure that suicide was any answer to her problems. I thought in view of her positive teenage life that she could come out of her depression (even without Chris).
