Liz Nix asked:

Has anyone tried to purchase this on Amazon? There are about a dozen different options and I have no idea which one is the best one to get. Illustrated? Revised? I would think the original, right?

Angie You can get it for free from the project gutenberg website. It's out of copyright.
Barbara Rogers Here it is for free --
Leona Heraty I purchased a hardback used version on Amazon from a used book seller for less than $10. The version I have is printed in 1920. I love the smell, feel and design of original hardback books, the older the better! :-)
Reading Harbor It's better to get the illustrated version because it contains the clues that Agatha Christie intended for readers to have in order to solve the crime along with the detective.
LLNYC Hello, Liz. I went with the William Morrow paperback (ISBN 978-0-06-207409-6), with the bottle of poison on the front. It includes both her original and changed/edited endings -- which I think you'll find very interesting.
Jean If you are going with a Kindle version, get the "Fully Restored Edition." It has the illustrations that other versions omit.
Jackie Johnson I would recommend the Harper Collins edition: ASINB000FC12ZU. It costs a little bit more, but is formatted well and they do publish all of her novels.
Lauren Shannon I find these are GREAT on audible and the reader for this one was terrific!
R. R. Go for the original
Hunter Murphy I would go with the original.
Matt Reardon I'd highly recommend not supporting Amazon in any way if possible. They are a terrible corporation that we should not be supporting.
Other options include your local library, the Libby app, free versions online as this book is out of copyright, or thriftbooks.com is a favorite of mine.
Greg I'm reading a Random House trade edition, 2007, free from the library. The publication page says 'this work was published in slightly different form by Modern Library...' I don't know if the edition I'm reading is the original or not, but it's the one the library had on its shelves, the only edition. So I might be reading a revision, or not. But now, at least, I know how to remove candle stains from carpet: blotting paper and an iron. So I'm fine. I do know that over the years, some racial/xenophobic terms have been changed in Christie's work, but I say we should just leave terms as they are...well, except for the original title of "And Then there were none," cause I'm pretty sure it would never have become the biggest selling murder mystery ever with that original title.
Mark The kindle version is free on Amazon too.
Yasser Ibrahim I recommend this edition:
