It's purposely left feeling unwrapped because a) it's based off her daughter's real continuous life, and b) after she wrote this book the daughter got serious about recovery and Hopkins didn't want to trigger a relapse by continuing the story. A lot of her books end like this with more to be desired though a lot of the books (i think its Perfect that mentions Hunter) have little easter eggs to other characters and their journeys from the Crank series .
