ŷ asked Benjamin R. Smith:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Benjamin R. Smith There is nothing really great about being a writer, actually. It's hard work and for a long time you're not going to be recognized for your work. You'll often get bogged down in a depression that stems from not feeling recognized or even read. The enjoyable moments, for me, are when I get to hear from people who actually read my book from start to finish. I get to talk about something I made up like I'm an expert and it's kind of cool.
