Being a Twilight hater and disliking Stephanie's writing, should I or should I not read this book?

Katie Yes, you should! Personally, I do not like Twilight, especially not Breaking Dawn, and after reading this last book of the series I was convinced I would never touch another book by Stephenie Meyer. But certain circumstances made me read The Host a few years later and I really liked it. The characters aren't as flat and the protagonists aren't as annoying. The whole setting is way more interesting and the story has a round yet slightly open ending. After this book I thought I might've been wrong about Meyer so I picked up The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner at a library sale and was really disappointed. Turns out that The Host is really the only good book she wrote...
Taylor I feel for you. Well, at least, I did; now the Host is one of my favorite books. You won't even be able to distinguish that it and *shudder* Twilight came from the same woman. I still don't understand it myself....
