Why couldn't the guests just watch the Indian figures to see who broke them? Wouldn't that reveal the murderer?

Cora It would but they probably didn't want to sit around the table all day and night.
Iris Kerns obviously the murderer would improvise after that, and even so i don't think anyone would decide that's the most logical, obvious solution--to stare at the figures that REPRESENT the murders. the figurines obviously don't dictate or control the murders, they display them to remind everyone of the creepy nursery rhyme
