ŷ asked Anela Deen:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Anela Deen Well, it involves a complex combination of dark chocolate, solitude, and silence. Okay, not really. I've got a house full of kids, a ridiculously loud refrigerator, and a cat that insists on attention the moment I sit at the computer. My husband knows to keep it down when I'm trying to write. The man has keen survival instincts.
In my opinion, writer's block is something that can only be resolved by more writing. Inspiration doesn't always (ever?) come on demand. Expect pain because it's a matter of sitting down and pulling the story out one word at a time. Pile enough of them together, and hey, you've got a first draft you can pound into shape.
