Rhonda asked Robyn Carr:

When do you feel it's time to end a series? As a reader I never want to see "the last book" in a series but I know all good things come to an end and hopefully another series begins. Can't wait to get my hands on The Life She Wants! Thanks, Rhonda

Robyn Carr There are many reasons to end a series -- reader fatigue is one, but one I haven't seen yet. That's when the sales drop off, indicating readers are tired of the series. Another reason is when the writer can't think of yet another fresh take or character that's begging for a book and hasn't had one. When the writer begins to feel unchallenged or bored, it's a good idea to move on to things that are fresh and new. And sometimes a series grows so long that it scares off new readers -- they're won't pick up the first book in the series because if they love it, there will be so many more to read!
