I loved reading your series, especially Virgin River, as much as your stand alone books. How can you tell if a novel you just finished writing is going to be just a stand alone or the first in an exciting new series?

I know before I finish whether there's more than one story in the story. I'm usually setting up the next one by the end of the one I'm working on. Likewise, when I start a stand alone I'm pretty sure of the beginning, middle and end long before I'm done. How do I know? I just know -- there's either more to tell or the story is complete.

Hi Robyn, I'm a reviewer for Fresh Fiction and I've reviewed all of your Thunder Point books there for you! Do you have plans to make this series as long as the Virgin River series?? I'm torn between which series I love more and do not want the Thunder Point series to end for a very long time!!

At what age did you start writing? And, if different, what age did you write and know you were going to be a writer in life. For me, I remember writing a lot at 16 but I was in my 20s when I realized I wanted to write and thought I might be good at it. Thanks! Patti
