John Green
“It seemed like forever ago, like we've had this brief but still infinite forever. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.”
John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

John Green
“There are infinite numbers between 0 and 1. There's .1 and .12 and .112 and an infinite collection of others. Of course, there is a bigger infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2, or between 0 and a million. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities... I cannot tell you how grateful I am for our little infinity. You gave me forever within the numbered days, and I'm grateful.”
John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

Laini Taylor
“Infinities are not for casual exploration. You could fall and keep falling. You could get lost.”
Laini Taylor, Dreams of Gods & Monsters

David Levithan
“Two infinities: the one that stretches to the beginning but never touches-when you halve and halve and halve, infinitely-and then the one that spreads out into the endless, endless future, the endless, endless, distance. The set of infinities that is itself infinite.”
David Levithan, Every You, Every Me

Michel Faber
“People and their dwellings were such a thin dust on the surface of the globe, like invisible specks of bacteria on an orange, and the feeble lights of kebab shops and supermarkets failed utterly to register on the infinities of space above.”
Michel Faber, The Book of Strange New Things

Ojo Blacke
“As researchers of the paranormal, we must understand there are ways to change the rhythm of time within us, ways to change the beat. These ways have been known since the beginnings of civilization, and possibly much earlier. And these ways would require no more effort than simply recognizing the secret rhythms of things. Moreover, we may learn to beat with them and begin to perceive a different kind of space, and ultimately discover an altogether different conception of realityâ€”
Ojo Blacke, Dr. Monroe A. Dunlop's Paranormal Studies Lecture Series, Mind and Reality: A Psychedelic Trip to the Doormat of the Unknown: Fictional Nonfiction, Fifth Edition

John Green
“Sembrava passata un'eternità, un'eternità che sembrava breve ma allo stesso tempo infinita. Alcuni infiniti sono più grandi di altri infiniti.”
John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

“...sometimes when you are lost for direction, you are open to a new way of seeing.”
Lauren Lola, A Moment's Worth

John Green
“Some infinities are bigger than other infinities”
John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

“A good thing to do is to think about what people have done. Not only people that you've read about in books or seen on the news or heard mentioned in deliberate conversation, and not only deeds that are noteworthy. It's good to think about all the possibilities of what people have probably done. The scope of what's possible, statistical probabilities of unique behavior and unusual action in the 200,000 years that people have existed because there are more than 7 billion of us alive right now and that's not including the number of people who have ever lived. Within those numbers exist captivating, eccentric, strange, fanciful variation, when you consider what people have probably done. Like, every time you've had an impulse that you've held back, imagine that there has been a person who has had that same impulse and gone through with it, because there probably has been. Imagine any type of person and any type of story having happened because when you do that, it feels like you're creating, but you're probably not. Imagine, considering the magnitude of these numbers and the variables within each human being, that all possibilities have occurred. If physical anomalies like twins born with bodies totally fused together resembling two-headed, eight limbed, human spiders, or a man born with a shrunken female head affixed to the back of his own head, which was animated without being consciously controlled by him, then imagine that anything you can imagine has occurred. However typical or atypical, these things you're imagining have happened. These people you're thinking of have been.”
Ani Baker, Handsome Vanilla
