While it’s a light and fluffy romance, I do wish there was a bit more depth. I found myself waiting for tension and just generally more from the story, particularly around 50%.
If you’re in the mood for something light and sweet, this is it!

I love fake dating!!! the pretending and suppressing their feelings. there was a lot going on in terms of their identities, their jobs, the lottery winning. but sometimes I still felt like there wasn’t a whole lot going on. I found myself a bit bored and not as locked in as I’d hope to be because of the insta love.
kieran was so grumpy and honestly for good reason. I loved the neurodivergent rep with sybil and found myself relating to her quite a bit. I also loved the resolution with her mom and how she stood up for herself.

there is exactly zero tension. they hook up in MUD for the first time??? and then they start platonically sleeping together bc they’re scarred from a run in with a wolf. melody enacts a “no kissing� rule, which, again, cliched.
this book was trying to go for something, but it truly didn’t work for me. it’s just another romance with played out played up tropes that was extremely boring.
the “healing� from the abusive relationship was so shallow. and zac came onto her creepily strong. like this girl literally just got kicked out of her apartment and you’re finger banging her not even 30% of the book? let the girl heal instead of coming on so strong and buying her shit and everything else.

this book is the epitome of fall vibes. nadia’s writing is so beautifully descriptive I could see and smell and taste all the wonderful pastries dina cooks up. the witchy vibes were perfection.
speaking of perfection, scott!!!! I love the boy obsessed set up, and wow was he. he was also incredibly kind and loving and just what dina needed.
her self-love journey and sisterly bond with her friends literally brought me to tears and I cannot wait for the rest of this series.

This book was fun. There was action and some of Ruby’s beloved spice, but this book was a bit too long for me. I found myself getting slightly bored and wanting to skim.

like I said this was cute. it was such a fun read for upcoming st. paddy’s day and I loved mors and juliet! it’s fast paced and had me giggling and kicking my feet.

this book was a ride. barrett falls first and sooooo hard. the groveling? the acts of service? the trip to hawaii???? I was swooning the whole time. raleigh is a bad ass single working mom and I loved her son (and his obsession with koalas).
I kinda wish there was a bit more going on in the third act. I felt like there was a little something missing for me to hit 5 stars. But I really did have a fun time reading this!
