THE BED MATE is a ”fԻ-ٴ-DZ romance between two people who have been “besties for over eight years. This is the final installment of the ROOMMATES series and I’m glad we are finally getting to the end. I really loved the first two books but the last few were just “ok for me. This wasn’t the best book I’ve read under this trope but it also wasn’t the worst. It started off pretty good but then after a while, I found the Heroine’s obliviousness to the situation to be completely absurd, and I thought the Hero was a little too sweet and too good to be true.
Sam and Maggie have been the best of friends since they met in college. They’ve been there for each other through numerous failed relationships. They've never let their romantic relationships affect their friendship. In all the years that they’ve known each other, neither of them have been single at the same time. Sam has a plethora of relationships that have gone wrong, while Maggie has only had a couple of long-term boyfriends. Finally, right before New Year’s Eve, Maggie ends up breaking up with her boyfriend when she catches him cheating on her. She planned to hide away in Sam’s apartment while he was on a skiing trip in Colorado but he buys her a ticket to fly out and join him.
Sam has been in love with Maggie since they first met but never had the chance to reveal his true feelings for her since he was quickly placed in the "friend zone". This holiday in Colorado might be just the push he needs to make his move.
Maggie has always thought Sam was gorgeous and at times she has had daydreams of him but never pursued her feelings for fear of ruining their friendship. Will she finally get a clue and see what everyone else has been trying to tell her all along?

Maddox Paige is the notorious bad boy pitcher of the Chicago Rebels. We only started to get a glimpse into this tender soul in the previous book, ”The Trade. Maddox grew up in a toxic environment, thanks to his abusive alcoholic father. Having endured his father’s rage for so many years has left an imprint on him. It’s why Maddox has such a short fuse and is often the first to be throwing fists during a brawl on the playing field. He keeps his personal life private and only a few people know that a true artist and gentle soul lay hidden beneath the rough & tatted exterior. One of those people, is his best friend from childhood, Kinsley. She has been there for him through thick and thin. Has always provided a safe haven for Maddox when he needed an escape from his tyrannical father. It’s been years since he left their hometown and made a name for himself in the major leagues, but through it all, they’ve managed to hold on to their strong connection.
Maddox invites Kinsley to move in with him when she lands her dream job working for an animal shelter in Chicago. He never knew that having Kinsley in his home would flip his world on its axis. She’s an unstoppable force of nature, but Maddox, while utterly clueless to his emotions, is completely enamored with her, and would do anything to make her happy. It seems these best-friends are both unaware of how the other feels, but they also fear the possibility of losing their friendship if they attempt to reveal what’s really in their hearts.
Maddox and Kinsley will eventually give in to their attraction and these two have the spiciest sexy scenes out of all the couples in this series. I loved their easy connection and found the angsty moments completely unbearable. Who knew Maddox would end up being a true swoon-worthy Hero??!!

There’s not much that I didn’t love about ”JUST ONE YEAR by Penelope Ward. The Hero is a gorgeous, charismatic exchange student from England. The Heroine is a beautiful introvert that has never had her heart wrapped up in a guy until she meets Caleb Yates—the foreign exchange student who has moved into her family's home. Caleb and Teagan’s first encounter is extremely embarrassing but was still a ”meet cute. Their awkward beginning quickly turns into a close friendship that eventually sparks into a powerful attraction that Caleb is fiercely opposed to pursuing because he’d never willingly break Teagan’s heart. His life is in London and hers is in Boston. A long-distance relationship would never work, but Teagan has never felt so strongly about anyone until Caleb came into her life. She’s willing to risk certain heartbreak for the chance to be with the only man she’s ever fallen in love with.
Their story is heart-achingly angsty and it was pure torture waiting for Caleb and Teagan to finally let the pent up attraction take over. This is yet another book to add to my long list of favorites by this incredible author!

”SOUTHERN STORMS is a friends-to-lovers/second-chance romance between two people who were once childhood best-friends who have suffered unimagineable loss that has dimmed their inner light. Kennedy and Jax both live with grief and guilt that has nearly destroyed them and somehow fate brings these two together just when they need each other the most.
There was so much that I enjoyed about this story. It’s kind of hard not to like anything that Brittainy Cherry writes, but there was something missing and I can’t really place it. Some issues were resolved without being provided the details. I would have loved for Jax to get the closure he needed directly from his father.

From the moment that Miller and Violet meet at the tender age of thirteen, there is this undeniable connection between them. Their differences work only to tie them together and their friendship is a precursor to a love that will face so many obstacles but that nothing could ever destroy.
Miller comes from nothing and getting through everyday life is harder than it ever should be for a young boy, and yet he never stops fighting to survive. He’s the beautiful boy with the soulful blue eyes and amazing musical talent, that young Violet cherishes more than anything. Violet has seen how love can disappear and destroy couples so she vows to keep her feelings at bay to hang on to Miller’s friendship.
Years of keeping their true feelings buried become too hard to endure. Misguided fears wind up creating a rift that threatens to tear Miller and Violet apart. These two can never seem to be at the same place at the right time, and just when they find a way back to each other, life-altering events take Miller and Violet down different paths and the distance between them becomes impossibly wide. Will they be able to see their lifelong dreams come true while keeping their love alive?

WOW! I can’t even begin to describe just how much I loved this book. I started to fear that maybe there was no topping the first installment, but now I’m going to have to say that Noah and Meg’s story is my favorite in the ”Cloverleigh Series. I just love me a good friends-to-lovers romance. There's just something extra special about a love affair that sparks from a close friendship.
Meg and Noah have been best friends since high school, and over the years life took them in different directions but no matter how long they go without seeing each other, their bond had never wavered. Neither has had the best of luck in the love department and after yet another failed relationship, Meg returns home to seek love and comfort from her family and best friend Noah. From the moment these two reunite there is no denying the sexual tension that lays so close to the surface between them. It is almost a foregone conclusion that they’re going to give in to the temptation.
These two put me through an emotional roller coaster. I wanted them to get their act together and figure out that they’d wasted so many years staying in the friend zone when it was obvious from the start, they were simply meant to be true soulmates. Meg is an endearing heroine who is sure to make you shed some tears and Noah is one heck of a swoon-worthy hero. He was the source of most of the crazy angst, but I promise you won’t be able to do anything but love him and hope that he gets his act together before it’s too late.

I really enjoyed this one. Thought it was even better than "Fighting Redemption", the only reason that I didn't give it five stars was that I didn't love the heroine.
I was also so ecstatic that the timeline practically ran in parallel to the first book and that this time I felt Jake had a bigger presence. He was a larger than life character that deserved to be a huge part of the storyline. It wasn't fun going through all that heartache over again and this time it hurt even more, but I loved that he was portrayed as one of the main characters as well and even though that was the case, Kyle still stood his own as the other Hero of this story.

This book is EVERYTHING that is truly amazing about the writing duo of Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland. "DIRTY LETTERS" is going down as my absolute TOP FAVORITE by these two incredible authors. It had so many things that I love in a good romance-- friends-to-lovers trope, a gorgeous British Rock God as the Hero, and some gut-wrenching angst. Griffin Marchese has all of the traits to make him one of the most unforgettable and beloved book boyfriends. I instantly fell so hard for this beautiful character.
”DIRTY LETTERS is a true page-turner! It’s one of those books that you will want to immerse yourself in without any interruptions. I am not exaggerating when I say it’s unputdownable!! If I could rate this book on the last 20%, I would have given it 4.5 stars. What I did love about this story was Henry. He's impossible not to love. The romance between Henry and Charlotte had such great potential, but I just couldn’t get over the fact that things didn’t really start to take off with these two until about the 80% mark of the book. That to me is going just a bit overboard with the slow build. There was too much backstory being provided. I didn’t think there was really even a love triangle. The other character never generated a spark of interest for me. I loved that Henry and Charlotte were the best of friends from kindergarten till about the age of ten and that after twenty years apart, they were inexplicably still drawn to each other. The romance seemed to be the secondary character in this one. Charlotte spent so much more time with Emma and her grandmother than she did with Henry. It was almost up to the halfway mark in the book where he finally had a real presence in the story. I’m sad that I wasn’t able to fully connect with this one because I really did relate to some of Charlotte’s traumatic childhood experiences, but it became bigger than the romance, which is what I crave more than anything in my books!

We’re now four books into the ”Arizona Vengeance series and it’s getting even better with each installment. Not only does the book have an amazing cover, but it also has a couple of my favorite tropes-- ”fԻ-ٴ-DZ & “romance with the older brother’s best friend. With all that going for it, there wasn’t a doubt that ”D was going to be a fun and steamy read!
Dax Monahan’s best friend, Lance Miles, was recently killed during a mugging. Lance leaves behind his younger sister Regan. Their parents died when Regan was fourteen and Lance had been her sole guardian since. After the funeral Dax learns that Regan has a serious illness and no longer has any medical insurance to cover the exorbitant amount it costs to pay for her medication. Without even blinking an eye Dax convinces Regan to marry him so that she would have his medical benefits to pay for her treatment.
Dax moves Regan from California into his home back in Arizona and it’s not long before things turn physical between them. Even though their chemistry is hotter than anything Dax has ever experienced before, he still struggles with feelings of guilt and doesn’t think that he’s good enough for Regan. The two agree to go back to the way things were, but soon realize that there’s no turning back. Will their marriage of convenience turn into the real thing?

I have been a fan of Kate Stewart for years now. She is the Queen of the “slow burn romance and she pulls it off magnificently once again with ”THE GUY ON THE RIGHT. Theo wasn’t your typical swoon-worthy Hero. At first, he comes off as being the nerdy and somewhat awkward sidekick. Theo and Laney are so completely different that I didn’t think these two could ever have “white-hot chemistry. I should have known that Kate would eventually ignite the spark between Theo and Laney in such a way that my heart was fully invested in this couple. Theo Houseman went from band geek to a sexy as hell book boyfriend, and Laney might be one of my most favorite of Kate Stewart’s Heroines.
Laney and Theo both have been burned by their past relationships. They vow to be strictly friends and for a while, this works for them, until one day they no longer want to remain in the friend zone. I’m not going to lie, it took quite a while for things to heat up but once they did, I 100% felt the chemistry between them. Their relationship was as equally heartfelt as it was passionate. But when demons from their past come back to haunt them, their love is put to the ultimate test.

”THE REVENGE PLAN is the latest installment of the ”Forbidden Men series by Linda Kage and I’m wondering why I haven’t read all of the books yet. I absolutely loved ”Price of a Kiss and couldn’t believe that so much time has passed that Mason and Reese have a niece old enough to be in her senior year of college. This story is a new adult, “friends-to-lovers romance with enough angst to put your heart through emotional turmoil, but it’s completely worth it!! Wickham Webster is one hell of a swoon-worthy Hero. Once the story unfolds there is no doubt that readers are going to fall head over heels in love with him.

Haven Gamble catches her boyfriend in the act of cheating on her with her roommate. This sends her into an emotional tailspin and the one person who comes to her rescue is her boyfriend’s arch nemesis and fellow teammate on the football team. Wick and Topher have had a feud going on for years and only a handful of people know the true origin of their rivalry. I thought Haven’s reaction to Topher’s betrayal was a little extreme, but I get that it helped to develop the connection between her and Wick. The two end up being roommates and as time goes on a connection blossoms, one that seems to be so right and as if it was always meant to be.

Interspersed within the story are several chapters titled ”Hopeless Henry. It’s an ongoing fictional story that posts weekly in the college newspaper. At first, I didn’t know what to make of these chapters, but as I got further into the plot, the puzzle pieces started to fit. I like what Linda Kage did there!!

Meghan Quinn fans are sure to fall in love with this second installment of the ”Getting Lucky series. I am not at all surprised at just how fantastic ”THAT FOREVER GIRL ended up being, and I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the remaining Knightly brothers. If ”fԻ-ٴ-DZ, “enemies-to-lovers and “second-chance-romance are some of your favorite tropes as they are mine, then you are in for a real treat with Rogan and Harper’s story!

Rogue is the second oldest and hottest Knightly brother, but he’s also known as the broody and closed-off Knightly. He once had everything in the palm of his hands and on one fateful night, he lost it all. Seven years later, the woman who had his heart since he was a young boy has come back to Port Snow and no matter how hard he tries to fight his feelings, fate and true love have other plans in store for Rogue and Harper. Rogan tore Harper’s heart to shreds and caused her to lose confidence in herself. Will she be able to let go of the pain from the past to move on to the possibility of an even greater love with the only man who’s ever truly owned her heart?
I can’t even begin to express just how much I loved Rogan and Harper’s journey. Their story is told through alternating POV’s, switching from past to present every other chapter, but it’s written so fluidly that I found the plot development to be flawless. This is a book you will find too good to put down! I am so ready to get my hands on the next installment!! AMAZING!!! I am so in love with this story and Brittainy C. Cherry right now! I don’t think she has it in her to write anything that isn’t truly exceptional. ”ELEANOR & GREY is an angsty, heart-felt story of friendship, innocent first love, and an epic romance formed through unimaginable heartbreak and second chances. I loved these characters. From the moment you meet them, you’ll find it hard not to care deeply for them, to feel their pain, and to shed many tears. I truly felt I was put through an emotional ringer from the angst and at times I thought it was beyond torturous, but I get that it made the story that much more poignant.
Eleanor and Grey became friends during their senior year of high school. Ellie was the shy, nerdy introvert, and Grey was the ”I guy at school. He was captain of the basketball team and the object of every girl's affection, but Ellie was not impressed by Grey. She had judged him unfairly and was so completely wrong in her assumptions. Grey, on the other hand, was intrigued by Ellie and saw the beauty in her that others were too blind to see.
Grey comes into Ellie’s life just when she needed him the most. He becomes her best-friend and savior during one of the most painful times of her life. He helps break her out of her shell and together they build a beautiful bond that eventually turns into a sweet and innocent first love. But just as they start to explore this new aspect of their relationship, Ellie’s parents decide to sell their house and move to Florida. They try to keep in touch through emails, texts, and phone calls but after Ellie goes through a traumatic loss, the two eventually drift apart.
I didn’t enjoy this part of the story. I really hate it when a couple that belongs together are forced to go their separate ways and then many years pass before they reunite, and yet I understand that this has to happen in order for the plot to develop and to keep readers engaged. I was so upset that they went about their lives for nearly sixteen years without any interaction and that they were able to love other people.
When Ellie and Grey meet up again, it is not the reunion that I was hoping for and these two are not the same people that they were when they were seventeen. Life has been hard and it’s changed them. It’s Ellie’s turn to be the savior. She’s the one offering to help pick up the pieces and bring light back into Grey’s life. Grey is nothing like the sweet and loving boy he once was. He’s become everything he swore he wouldn’t be all those years ago when they were the best of friends. Can Ellie help Grey find the sweetness that was embedded deep in his soul before it’s too late? Will Grey open up his heart to love again?
