Over all i still enjoyed this book although i find most parts to be overly sappy even for a hopeless romantic like me. Harlow is just not my usual type of heroine and i lean more on the type of Blair who is awesome every time she made an appearance in this book. I have made a decent review before this one but my mouse suddenly acted up and deleted that effin review. Also the plot twist in this book is giving me Breaking Dawn vibes without the sparkling vamps around. But i do think the letters were a nice touch and poignant...but i didn't end up crying ugly though. Hence my mixed reaction over this book.

For she is actually a strong willed, beautiful, skilled fighter and loyal to Perry despite being hurt. But I love how she slowly began to realize that her feelings for Perry were not as deep and life sustaining as she thought it was. She have loved in a way and now she will learn to love again maybe not immediately but at least someday she is ope to the possibility that her heart will be open. And those surprising moments with the Seer brothers were certainly worth swooning over :) I always thought you need to kiss a lot of toad to find your prince. HmmmI wonder if that unlikely love will end up to be one of the dwellers...like Soren perhaps? Will never know hehehe. There is a little bit of intrigue going on between this two. You find love in a hopeless place as Rihanna goes. I am also happy she learned to be at peace regarding Perry and Aria and that in her own discreet way she gets to say her piece to Aria about her feelings towards her. That a friendship will still be possible for her and Perry in the future.

And I realize that I sometimes feel the need to be able to connect to the MC for me to really feel invested into the story. Aysel is a very sad teenager and yet snarky which i like most about her and is really very good at Physics. She seems resigned to ending her life, cut it short, feeling that there is no absolutely no reason to go on with her life if she can never ever be happy again. This is because of what her dad did that left him ending up in prison. I can understand that at such a young age it will leave her so confuse of how to deal with the aftermath and the fear that she will end up having the same fate. She feels that she never fit in anywhere not even in her own family her mother's new family. But I appreciate that despite Aysel determination to distance herself from people, her family is portrayed that they did try to reach out to her especially her adorable half brother Mike. Then we have the other suicidal teen Roman who will end up as her suicide partner, the idea was kinda strange at first coz suicide is basically an act of selfishness and isolation. And yet to do it along with someone else so that you can somehow feel not so alone in your last moment and not flake out at the last minute is pretty much morbid. Twisted and dark as it sounds Aysel and Roman, the two suicidal teens that were dying to meet each other found a reason to give life a chance. Instead of finding encouragement to stick to their pact till the very end, Aysel found a different kind of inspiration in Roman and she will endeavor to make him stay and stick it out for a while longer. I think that it is a wonderful thing to be change by the power of love, it is a start. They get each other and because they do understand each others misery, then get to talk about it and slowly and perhaps surely they won't think life is that hopeless. When Roman did what he did towards the end I was angry at him for a short while coz dammit Capt. Nemo will be very sad too! I didn't cry over this book but i did feel invested with their romance, it was no insta love and that aspect in this story was executed really well. I do like the author's writing style, she does wrote some poetic lines and i don't feel it's over done. Over all i enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

I mean he was all Alpha and cool and smart and he hold this secret torch for KC since the first time he laid eyes on her. Who doesn't like that kind of guy? I was really feeling this two. Jaxon has a lot of hang ups about his self worth due to his dark past, and more or less KC is like him in that aspect. The way this two push each other is just electrifying. For awhile there I wasn't so happy with Jaxon going hot and cold towards the end but then so was KC going hot and cold towards him in the beginning. I love the part wherein he tattooed something special for KC. I was like aaaawwww! it was a tribute to her real name :) At first I wasn't so keen about KC from the previous books. She was sort of drifting off from her original circle of friends but then something happened that end her up back home doing community service. But what she doesn't know is that she has a secret guardian angel looking after her all those years. Back to Jaxon...he is has such a quite intensity and he is always assessing and not impulsive like his older brother Jared. He can be very calculating with his moves. And he likes to be in control. Man the ways he really goes after KC was just *fanning myself* it's a miracle she is still has energy to breathe. Over all i absolutely enjoyed this one. I wasn't expecting it to love it even more than I could. To think that I planned earlier to skip this one and head straight to Aflame. Boy! was I glad I got curious about Jaxon's story or I would have missed this gem. I am convinced that this author knows her roller coaster of emotion of romantic drama.

I love the dynamics among the characters here. It makes you wanna root for them and sympathize with their conflicts. While there are human forces that have sinister plans for the Others, thus escalating the conflicts between humans and the Others. But in the Lakeyard Courtyard things have gotten intense as well while the human police force are doing everything they can to maintain the strained peaceful pact, or the Terra Indigene will release their unforgiving fury towards the humans and it will be catastrophic of epic proportion. On the other hand I am so excited about things getting more closer and comfy for Simon Wolfgard and Meg. I know its probably forbidden but this two are just too damn adorable. Like Monty thought, they don't realize yet that they are indeed falling for each other. And it just makes me wanna squee every time Simon gets over protective with Meg. *sigh* There were many funny scenes here as well. Especially the way how the Others thinks of certain human behaviour and culture that were odd to them and it would make sense to me that yeah it would seem like that to them in the most basic sense which can be friggin funny when you think about it.
"This is entertaining. Are there weapons in a bookstore?" "It's a store full of books, which are objects that can be thrown as well as read." "I had no idea you humans lived with so much danger."
Again let's go back to our Simon and Meg, i just want to hug them both together especially when they are having their movie nights! I also love that Simon and his fellow earth natives were able to be a step ahead of their enemies because of Meg's prophecies. I really hope that this series will end up getting a satisfying ending although if the author decide to off some of the earth natives that I do like I'm gonna be so so so so sad :( The humans are clearly underestimating how bad it could get for them if they decide to push the earth natives patience. Especially when the Elementals steps in and they are a force of nature that cannot be controlled or defeated by human weapons or manipulations. At last the Evil Controller has been taken care of...good job Jean and I am so happy you were finally set free! Also Meg may not be the usual strong heroine that I go for but her inner goodness shines through and the way that she can be a dork sometimes made me adore her more. She is loyal to the earth natives that took care of her and I am happy that slowly she is adjusting to her new life. I feel that Meg has been a tremendous factor in shaping the relationship of the earth natives of Lakeyard Courtyard and the humans that settled in that area. I also hope that Monty will get custody of his only little girl from his b*tch ex wife coz she is just too much! I bet Tessa can take care of that problem huh!
Over all this was another amazing read for me. I cannot wait for the next installment.

I do love best friends turned something more love stories. I do find the characters Levi and Macallan likable and engaging. Theirs is the kind of friendship that I wish i had that kind of deep connection with a special person. Though it took them awhile to get to their HEA, the journey of how their friendship evolved in a span of over 5years is a story of a hit and miss. Bad timing and both are unsure to push the boundaries not wanting to ruin their friendship. This was something I am very familiar with, the story is not that unique but i enjoyed their moments when they are so into their Levi and Macallan bubble that most of the time it affects their relationship with other people esp. the people they've dated. They are that bffs who everyone knows are bound to get together except the couple concerned duh! Sometimes absence makes the heart grows fonder and i think this was the case with Levi and Macallan, when their friendship took a sour turn and life happens. But I know that they care too much for each other to simply let their brilliant friendship go to ruins and eventually Levi man up and finally said his feelings right and Macallan also realized she felt the same way and finally they are on the same wavelength. I was happy that i decided to pick this one up for my light romance read earlier this morning when i couldn't get back to sleep. It was a fast read and perfect for my current mood :)

She was too traumatized of a person and she sounds too delicate for my taste. She has this low self esteem issues that was quite annoying. I also didn't like in the beginning of how Woods was coddling her too much thus making her too dependent in their relationship. It is not always good that he will always need to hold her hand when she needs to stand on her own even it means she might get hurt but she will eventually get stronger. If only he will trust her enough to trust she can do it even without him always around. So I really applaud Della's best friend Braden for giving her the tough love that she needed. Because she believes that Della is a strong person deep inside if only she will trust enough to get what she want and begin to heal. Her "research" did a lot of help for Della's peace of mind and took away the fear that had long plagued her for most of her life. There were quite some very shocking twist towards the end of the story that I was not prepared for and I was so sad for their loss. I am so excited to learn more of Grant and Harlowe's story but I know it will be a lot of drama because of Grant's history with the b*tch from hell NAN and i don't know why i need to capitalize her name here. lol! but seriously she needs to shut her mouth and stop acting bat sh*t crazy. She makes it hard for other people to even like her a little bit. And then there is the case with Tripp and Bethy...I never knew but I did wonder what is really haunting Tripp in Rosemary that made him runaway now we know who and why. Gaaahhhddd so much feels with what happened to Jace. I am glad that other b*tch Angelina is gone, I was really pissed off of what she did to Della but badass Blaire saved the day! I really hope she stays away for good and that later on she will get her dues. And Woods darling you can forget about that mom of yours for a long while till she learn to be human. I am happy for Woods that he finally get to move forward with what his grand father was hoping for him with their company. He deserve that legacy, he is the right person to lead it with his vision for it and running it with a good heart. But I hope that heart of his will soon learn to forgive as well maybe not now but later on when the pain of losing his bf will fade bit by bit. I love how this one ended, they have come full circle at the gas station :)
