I thought it was an interesting sorrow filled stories that had the main chartered go through times of happiness in the way beginning and then through sadness after her family had perished in the town fire. To be honest I think that almost anyone that age whom loose there family would go through the same harsh depressing times. They may not put thorns all over or tattoo themselves to the point there’s no skin showing anymore, but the other kids who went around fallowing other people who lost there families as well but steeling food from strangers gardens and fighting, letting loose every night just to dance. It also helps you understand a whole bunch more about book 10 and maggies character and her love life with Hector, and you have to read both to understand it all but it is all meshed together and it mackes a whole lot more sence in the end. I didn't like the story in the beginning though because I think she should have had at least the memories of her mothers death. It was a great book other than that. I expeashally liked the way Drew didn't go staite up to her and ask her out and be like the perves that we have in our everyday life today. I like the way the auther grabes your attenchen in all of her books.
